2014 FIFA World Cup Brazil

Everything is beautiful right now. :D

Except for those 84 and a half minutes where Ghana straight-up dominated and the US couldn't pass or maintain possession worth a damn. But everything else is beautiful. :ouch:

Yeah, Ghana was the better team but they failed to use their chances and that usually comes back to bite you in your ass. In hindsight, it looks as if leaving Boateng and Essien out was a bad idea. In any case, Boateng should have come in earlier.
The US lost a lot of players to injury, though. Klinsmann will probably not have all the options in the next games because of that. It will be interesting to see whether the US can beat Portugal.

I wonder what Biden is saying to the players in the locker room. :D

Honestly I'm just hoping for a draw against Portugal. Anything more than that would be a very pleasant surprise.

I've never seen a physio get injured before! :alienblush:
I shouldn't laugh about that, but really. Surely only your lot could come up with that sort of scenario.

The rest of the team might as well not exist.
Sums up His Egoness's attitude as well.

Just saw the extended highlights of that game and the send-off was pathetic all round. Müller's hamtastic display was bad enough but Pepe's stupidity - extraordinary even by his standards - almost defied belief. Germany's performance didn't quite match the destruction they handed out to us four years ago but it was still pretty impressive.

The less said about the Nigeria-Iran game the better but the Ghana-US encounter was another eye-opener. Ghana recovered well after that awful start but no one could seriously begrudge the US that result. Hopefully they can give it to Portugal as well and the egomaniac will depart the event. :bolian:

For me, if the US can advance out of group play, that will be a triumph, especially considering the low expectations and poor reputation of the USNT.

With Portugal being so useless and Ghana having wasted all their chances I guess the US can make it. :)

Belgium now! Hope they'll play entertaining attacking football again.

Definitely. Like I said before, it's must win for the US, but now that they did win, it's looking good.

As impressive as Germany appears to be, a draw against Portugal should be enough (not that I would advise the US to play for the draw).

If both teams are playing as they did yesterday, the US team has a very good chance of beating Portugal and advancing to the last 16, IMHO.

Belgium - Algeria: It seems like Algeria is playing rather well, but it´s more like Belgium is playing rather poorly. But we may see another surprise winner here. Anyway, not a very pretty match ...

Belgium is a little disappointing for the moment. I wonder if there is too much pressure for them, there was a lot of expectations.

Oh,and coach Vahid always looks like he is going to deport everyone of us

Fucking Belgians. I almost dislike them more than Germany, because there's not really any reason why they're better in this stupid sport than Austria. ;)

Hope Algeria wins this.

Algeria has - in recent memory - always played that smothering defense style.

They just look to draw, and hope to get lucky enough to get a shot or two in.
