At least you've still got Kyle Orton.

I fear who we will get as a replacement, the name being thrown around is Josh McDaniels. Shoot me now.

:guffaw: :guffaw: :guffaw:

Maybe he and Cassel can work some of their old NE magic together.

:guffaw::guffaw::guffaw:

Naw, he's going after Tebow. :p

He's welcome to him.

^What are you even doing here? Shouldn't you be out dancing naked in the streets or something because your team finally has made the playoffs and are currently first in the AFC? :p

At my age, dancing naked is probably not a good idea.

Why do I suddenly have the desire to iron everything? :guffaw:

I really don't believe that Denver will be able to stop the Patriots from putting points up on the board. But, I think the biggest thing that gives Denver a shot is the Pats D..... it's weak enough that Denver's offense may be able put up points to try and keep pace. If Denver something manages to keep pace, it could be an exciting end of the game- a face off of two QBs who you absolutely don't want to have the ball at the end of the game with any time left on the clock.

The realist in me says Denver won't win this matchup. The optimist in me says some real wild shit has happened this season and anything's possible. I'm just hoping for a good, competetive game, whether that means 14-17 or 32-35.
With the way the Redskins played the Patriots this week, you have to think the Broncos can at least replicate SOME of that success. And I'd like to think the Broncos defense is a little better than the Redskins defense, too.

^Actually, the game against the 'skins have gone a long way towards bolstering my confidence for this game. We shall see though. Like I said, I'm hoping!

Epic. Fucking. Facepalm.

Chicago Bears receiver Sam Hurd was arrested Wednesday night outside a Chicago restaurant after he accepted a kilogram of cocaine from a confidential informant and an undercover federal agent posing as a drug supplier, according to federal charges filed Thursday in Dallas.

Hurd was charged with one count of conspiring to possess half a kilogram of cocaine with the intent to distribute it.

At the Wednesday night meeting, Hurd negotiated to buy five to 10 kilograms of cocaine and 1,000 pounds of marijuana a week for distribution in the Chicago area, authorities alleged. He agreed to pay $25,000 for each kilogram of cocaine and $450 a pound for the marijuana, according to the charges.

Looks like someone will be joining Johnny Jolly in jail. Dumbass.

Bah, I'm sure he'll be fine. Don't forget about Jerome Simpson of the Bengals being caught with pounds of pot and packaging equipment/ materials in his house. I'm pretty sure he never missed a single game.

The NFL doesn't get terribly uppity about weed. When you get popped for trying to buy 5 - 10 kilos of cocaine per week for distribution, in essence operating a coke dealing ring, the league isn't going to smile too fondly upon that.

Perfect way to end a fucking splendid season for the Bears.

What a contemptible piece of crap. He wanted to give back to his community and be a role model for the kids. Give them a sense of purpose. They'll learn resourcefulness as they become ever more clever while Jonesing for their next hit.

Considering the NFL does not mean No Felons League, this guy will be back.

Another awesome, suspenseful primetime game last night. Seriously, there have been maybe 3-4 decent primetime games all season.

Doubt it. This is a pretty stupid thing to have done. Michael Vick can be sorry for his part in the dog-fighting ring, but kilos of coke is a big f'n deal. This is way worse.

I heard that the police have a list of NFL players who were supplied cocaine by Hurd, and there are more than a dozen names. This could have ripple effects.

Arranging to buy 5 - 10 kilos of coke and a thousand pounds of weed every week means that Hurd was part of an interstate drug trafficking ring. Even if he sings like a canary, he's going away for a very long time.

Considering the Bears dumped Benson after a drunken boating charge, Hurd is definitely gone from Chicago no matter what else happens.

If Hurd somehow avoids jail time, the Bengals would be a likely landing spot.
