2011 NFL Season - A New Game

Not open for further replies.
And thus the Monday Night Football Game concludes one of the worst weeks of Football I can remember. Week 8 can't be here soon enough.

Would someone please explain how a team as talented as the Ravens can be so schizophrenic? I can't tell from one week to the next which team is going to show up.

My wife said the same thing this morning! They smoke Pittsburgh and then bend over for the Jags.

Cam Cameron. Worst offensive game plan in the history of the NFL; no adjustments at halftime; no urgency in the last 4 minutes down by 2 scores; the guy sucks a fat one.

I know. They just meandered up to the line and into formation. They had all the urgency of a turtle taking a shit.

What if you had a workout for teams and nobody came?

Happened to Terrell Owens this week.

So, Rodgers is on a bye week... I see no choice but to Tebow it this week in my fantasy league

Pray with me friends...

Our Tebow, who art in Florida
Hallowed be thy name
Thy Kingdom come
Thy will be done
On Earth as it is in Florida
Give us this day our daily Tebow
And forgive us our trespasses
As Tebow forgives those who trespass against us
And lead us not into temptation
But deliver us from Orton

How's this for a halftime score?

Rams: 17
Saints: 0

I'd be (pleasantly) surprised if the Rams can actually hold on to win this game. The Saints look terrible so far, but that can change quickly.

GO RAMS!!

:techman:

The Rams don't need a QB. They need to suck for Justin Blackmon. Gosh, that sounds dubious out of context. Are the Ravens still losing? My television and cable are out today. I hope so. There's a player on that roster I don't particularly care for. Not hard to guess who it is. Criminal. :scream:

Looks like a day for the loser teams today. Arizona ahead, Rams ahead, Miami ahead, Vikings even; Jaguars and Colts possibly still with a chance too.

Ravens have taken the lead. Crazy.

The Giants have a lead over the Dolphins now too...

The Suck For Luck race is still anybody's game!

Miami really got screwed by that questionable offensive pass interference call.

I want the Lions to win as they're my team but I'd also love to be the ones to deflate the Tebow balloon.

Ugh, being a Carolina fan must be heartbreaking, always so close and nothing to show for it. I feel bad for Newton, but it's scary to think what he could be doing next season with a year's worth of NFL experience.

You know, outside of what the justice system decided. But I guess what you know trumps what the jury knew.

Ravens finish their biggest comeback in franchise history.

Not that that's a great thing, given the copetition. Makes me rather...uncomfortable in re: next week.

Go Pats!*

*feels dirty..

It did its job and made sure the Prosecutor actually had proof instead of just saying the person seems like a bad person?

Anyway, crazy, crazy Ravens game. They started off looking terrible in every facet of the game and then somehow managed to pull together and win.

Apparently "seems like a bad person" is enough for some.

I really don't understand this team this year. Obviously, Boldin decided he wasn't going to lose against his old team, but beyond that, I don't know what to think. A lot will be determined by how they come out next week against the Steelers, but I think it's clear that the more they run the no-huddle shotgun and let Flacco call his plays, the better they do. Therefore, as a Baltimoron, I assume that Cam Cameron will re-assert his control and completely fuck up the next game.

Yeah, I'm sure nobody here ever criticized a person found innocent of charges that everyone assumed they were guilty of.....a certain running from SC in the late 60s comes to mind. Give me a break.
