2011 NFL Season - A New Game

Guess who had Brees, Colston, and Sproles on his fantasy team? :D And who's up by 70 with Ray Rice still to come tomorrow?

Not my TrekBBS one, though. I'm sucking in that league. :(

Colts should be embarassed. When you lose a good player, of course it will have a negative effect on the team. But there is zero excuse for losing a single player and going from one of the best teams in the league to one of the worst teams in the league. To be honest, this season tells me that the Colts front office is pretty lousy at drafting/ replenishing their team and they just got extremely lucky in the fact that Manning is a player that can single-handedly carry the entire team himself.
Agreed. I never thought Peyton was that good, but now it looks like he was the glue that held an aging team together. I'm thinking they have some lean years ahead of them.

Earlier in the season when I saw the colts, I thought they were bad because Manning wasn't in the line up. However, the more I see them, the more that argument just doesn't hold water, because Manning isn't super human, or an alien, or something else. He only plays one position, on one side of the ball, and unless he was really the head coach of the entire time, all he was was a Quarterback.

With that being said, I think heads should roll in Indy this week, and maybe even having Caldwall get fired. How the hell can you go into a city on Sunday Night Football and lay the fattest egg you can lay? How can you have a sense of pride when the other team puts up a 62 on you and even if they are trying not to run up the score, you let them score anyway. Hell, when the Saints intercepted the ball for thier final score, I laughed because I honestly don't think the Saints were even trying. That ball went right into that players hands, and when there is piss poor tackling, it's just an embarrassment to the city, embarrassment to the NFL, and just an embarrassment to Football.

I'm also sure NBC loved that game. Hopefully with the flex scheduling coming up whenever the Colts are scheduled (And they will be again since they have the annual game against New England which will be a beatdown of epic proportions), they should be taken out of the prime time slot because they really are that horrific.

Nonsense, watching Brady et al take them out behind the wood shed and slap them around is better than watching porn. I almost bought tickets to the game over the summer, but the prices were sky high, expecting another epic matchup. You couldn't give away those tickets right now.

Wow and Hightower was being productive for Washington yesterday. While it really sucks for the Redskins, this could give the 49ers some more advantage heading into that game in DC in a few weeks. Still, that news about Hightower and Moss is kind of a shocker.

The Packers won the Super Bowl after losing the receiver they were building their entire offense around, and their undisputed #1 running back coming off of back to back 1200 yard seasons last year.*

*This statement no way implies that Washington is going to accomplish anything. They sucked already. Now they suck even worse.

Unfortunately, I don't think a Shanahan-led team is going to accomplish anything until Shanny finds his new Elway. He seems to be continuing to do what he's done since 2000: He'll pull any QB at the first sign of struggle, even if they hadn't done horribly up to that point. The Grossman-Beck switch reminds me heavily of the Plummer-Cutler switch: A winning record, but one or two rough games and it's the end of the line for the current QB.

The Ravens are playing the worst game I've watched them play, ever. Seems as if everybody is at fault here, coaching, players, not to mention the officials who have had so many calls overturned it's comical. There's no question that we need a new offensive coordinator after watching this game plan.

Would someone please explain how a team as talented as the Ravens can be so schizophrenic? I can't tell from one week to the next which team is going to show up.

Cam Cameron. Worst offensive game plan in the history of the NFL; no adjustments at halftime; no urgency in the last 4 minutes down by 2 scores; the guy sucks a fat one.
