Bonds' HR "record" is now questionable, isn't it? Why should it be allowed to stand?

He wasn't convicted of taking steroids and he wasn't convicted of lying when he said he didn't take steroids. What evidence do you have, that you didn't have before the trials, that put the homerun records in doubt? He was somewhat vague and evasive (not dishonest) answering questions. That's what he was convicted of.

Change of subject: Twins fans, any thoughts on Liriano? I own him in my fantasy league and he's cost me quite a few points so far, but I'm reluctant to drop him, as there's no one available with his pedigree. Think he'll settle down and return to form soon?

I have no idea what's wrong with Liriano this year. He looks like he did two years ago when he first came back after surgery. Maybe he's going to be one of those every other year kind of pitchers. Tough to keep him in fantasy when he throws up numbers like he has been this year.

The Red Sox have finally extended Adrian Gonzalez: Seven years, $154 million, $22 million / year average annual value.

For those keeping track at home, that's more than the Cardinals' initial offer to Albert Pujols in February.

He's probably the best first baseman out there. 99+ RBIS each of the last four years and he seems to be getting better each year.

He'll be 29 in May and has a career line of .284/.368/.506. Strikes out a fair amount, but he'll average 30+ home runs and he's been learning strike zone judgment over the past few seasons.

Normally I wouldn't say he's worth that kind of cash, but after the Jayson Werth and especially the Carl Crawford deals threw the market on its ear, it's hard to call it a bad deal.

He's probably the best first baseman out there.

There's this guy named Pujols who might take issue with that. And, really, I'd put Joey Votto, Miguel Cabrera and arguably Teixeira ahead of Gonzalez.

Quit your bitching, the Blue Jays ended up winning that game anyway. They should definitely move that line back to make it line up better with the pole, though, so they can avoid anything like this in the future.

Because of the weird way the field is shaped, they both actually line up with the foul line. But it obviously makes it impossible to adjudicate home runs if a ball lands between them.

To be fair, the weird spacial problems don't necessarily favor the Red Sox. It could happen to either team. I'm not sure what they could do anyway, short of moving the wall.

I don't find it any more stupid than having baseballs lost in the ivy at Wrigley Field like it's a Wiffleball game.
