^ I think Squire of Gothos was asking if the light visible from Sol in TWOK (200 years in the future) might be the light that is emanating today... I.e. we would be 'seeing ourselves on film'. That would be the case if Sol was visible in a scene that happened to take place in a system that was 200 light years away. But, as has now been pointed out, that isn't the case.
