I do love the sheer chutzpah of it- oh Steven Moffat, you weren't satisfied with waiting until May 2010 to piss off the fanbase.
Who the fuck is Matt Smith?! Out of all the good people rumoured they pick this guy?

I've just been thinking about that myself. I still don't think Moffat's all that likely to bring her back, but it would sure be an interesting dynamic. What about River Song?
The thought of River Song with this guy, that's weird. Weirder than new teeth.
I'd go with that.now, i'm campaigning for Jemima Roper for companion!
So a 900+ year old with a 19 year old isn't weird, but a younger looking 900+ year old with a 40-ish year old woman is weird? What about River Song?

I'm wondering if it's going to be an older companion to go with the younger Doctor?
Why shouldn't there be romantic overtones? Now it's going to be very difficult to have the Doctor and companion being similar in age without there being romantic overtones.
Not to mention the fact he's got a genuine British accent, which even to an American like me sounds lightyears better than what Tennant was using. lol![]()

With or without the sexual overtones?Dara Ó Briain for companion!
