So let me see, the music is wrong, not enough names were mentioned, it looks too soft, and the angle isn't very good.
the angle isn't very good
First of all the source material was amateur shaky video of a model behind reflective glass. Only a crazy person would want to rotoscope it. There were no good wide shots.
certain names were not mentioned
I agree, and I have amended that because I believe people should definitely receive their due credit.
the music is wrong
I completely disagree, as I said it has the TOS fanfare and thematically has the perfect build up for the money shot at the end. People seem to have a negative association with Generations in ANY form which is not my problem.
it looks too soft
The purpose of that was to give it a more cinematic look like the series (like Jerry Finnerman) However, I will meet you half way on that one and toned it down when I added the amended credits.
BOTTOM LINE.
The whole point of the video was to thank the Smithsonian team, even Andrew Probert sent me a personal message of thanks.
So I am totally happy, sorry if you're not.
Spockboy
For what it's worth, I thought it was amazing.
What struck me was .... how big the green starboard light is on the model. Dang, that's a big old navigational light.
