10 Fwd - The Experience in LA

look at the picture...

I did. And the website says "Entrance into everyone's favorite social hub of the future, 10 Forward.". The picture doesn't match that sentence. So before I shell out $75 (for myself and my family), what the frak am I going to get to see?

Q may seem like a villain at first glance but if you look closer at the things he’s doing they - despite the rather… extreme methods Q uses - often turn out to be helpful for Jean-Luc in particular.

I wonder why.

The picture on the site is of Guinan’s bar from Season 2, which is at Number 10, Forward Avenue based on the trailers.

So I think it’s obvious what it is.

Well, I don't. The website says that it's everyone's favorite future hangout. Guinan's bar in LA isn't everyone's favorite future hangout.

it's called "marketing"

I get it for something like Stranger Things: The LA Experience, which I took my daughter to over Christmas. But that already had an established image to replicate -- Starcourt Mall, the Upsidedown, Will's house, etc... No one knows what Guinan's bar looks like at this point, nor is there a big attachment. Anyway, my $75 will be safely kept intact...

Hyperbole aside (as if your money would be destroyed), to play devil's advocate a moment, they have shown the bar briefly in trailers, as well as the address, "10 Forward St." So, the idea behind this marketing ploy is for people to be intrigued by the bar, and thus intrigued to watch the show. It's marketing 101.

That it doesn't appeal to all doesn't make it any less a common tie in strategy.

Unless it features Guinan intensely popping out from under the bar, it won't be a true experience.

Although since Caryn Johnson has been canceled for declaring the Holocaust was "not about race, maybe she needs the work.

I'm not driving an hour+ just to eat some food truck food unless the "unique merchandise" means those cool decks of cards from Disco S4.
