I'm a consistent subscriber because my wife's Mom uses All-Access to watch all her regular CBS shows.
Im a constant subscribers because I get cbsaa included in my 247 sports sub so as long as I’m on 247 I’ll have cbsaa.

That's funny as I could have sworn that CBS was "quaking in their boots" with how much of a failure it was going to be.
Oh of course! Even if it's as simple as "streaming companies don't release the actual data to back-up their claims....so we know CBS is lying just to create buzz"...the excuses and spins will be there.
You mean like Michael Chabon stepping down as show runner after only one season...![]()
Behind the scenes “issues” don’t matter as long as tthe on screen product is solid. The first episode of PIC is proof of that.think if STP lives up to the potential shown by the first episode and doesn't have any behind the scenes issues

Writer is one thing. EP is the most meaningless title in TV - it can mean literally anything from "showrunner who micromanages every aspect of production" to "guy who has nothing to do with the show, but knows a guy 'higher-up' who arranged for him to get it as a vanity title."He's staying on as a writer and EP.
It means that, unless lots of people tune out after episode 1, it'll probably get its' planned three-season run.I dont even know what that means. Breaking all Netflix records would mean something, given how long it has been around and the quality of titles they have had on there. CBS All Access record? So it beat the record set by Magnum PI reruns? Or just Discovery? It's not like they have alot of new material on there.

When someone steps down as showrunner but keeps the EP title, it tends to be closer to the latter - a way of saying the break was amicable, nothing to panic about here, rather than a sign of continued involvement in production. (Or that they had a contract that said they would keep the EP title on all episodes, independent of actual involvement.
Michael Chabon said:It would be great if I could do both. I don’t want to leave Picard. I’m not leaving — I’m sticking around. It’s been renewed, so we’ve already started planning for the second season. I’m every bit as involved in that process, and I’m going to stay on as an executive producer, and I’m going to write episodes. But at some point, the focus of my time and attention and love is going to slide over to Kavalier & Clay. But exactly how and where and when, it’s not clear. This is a transitional period for me. But I’m definitely reluctant and sorry to ultimately be leaving this behind. It’s still incredibly exciting. Talking about Season Two is already fun all over again. It won’t be easy for me. Star Trek’s not going anywhere, and hopefully, I’m not going anywhere either.
Shows change show runners all the time nowadays it seems. I’m not too concerned about it; he’ll still be involved in the show.
And he's not going far, CBS is the one giving him the money to make his own show.it also depends on why they change. Chabon is leaving due to a book he wrote being made into a show. Can anybody say that’s not a good reason to leave?

It means best two shows on AA are Star Trek, and if nothing else, CBS is going to double down on it. Do you care if it beats Stranger Things (it won’t) or do you just want good quality Trek for foreseeable future?I dont even know what that means. Not as good as Picard, but probably better than Discovery.I wonder how Lower Decks will fare ratings wise considering its animated.
