The prequel trilogy constructive criticism thread

The Star Was movies are basically action/adventure movies with very little in the way of character development in them and really not much in the way of time for development of the characters over the action on the screen. And really The Force Awakens is no different, while Rey and Finn get some...

    Agent Carter - Season 2

Well code breaking is pretty far removed from what I would call a life of adventure. And the Peggy who left her parent's house was still a ways away from the one we meet in The First Avenger, at least to me.

    The Shannara Chronicles

Yes, this ep. introduced the Reaper and he's nigh unstoppable. And the quest becomes more of a race. Although there shoudl've been more drama to the scene where Wil couldn't use the stones, it was an important story point.

    The Disappointment of Padme

Exactly he doctored the recording, still we knew the truth and that's all that mattered.

    The Disappointment of Padme

The novel had a doctored recording of the assassination attempt and he might've shown it before Padme showed up.

Forget about Moffat and Chibby. Who's ready to wait 12 - 20+ months for a new series of Doctor who?

Somehow I have a hard time believing that you're going to make it though all ten parts of The War Games.

    The Disappointment of Padme

Joss Whedon has said that, that's his second favorite scene in the first six Star Was movie. And rally Palpatine came off as victim of an attemtped assassination by the Jedi, he had plenty of support for him becoming Emperor.

    The Disappointment of Padme

Nio, it's just one more reason to try and find something to hate about the Prequels. It's just easier to accept that Kenobi told the truth because there's nothing onscreen that disagrees with his statement.

    The Disappointment of Padme

Why? It was obviously Leia who imprinted R2 mission. There's no reason not to believe Kenobi that he can't remember ever owning a droid. Asa Jedi he lived a pretty spartan life, I always thought that was one of the cooler thigns about him.

Star Wars VIII release date changed....

Supposedly the reason for the delay is that they're rewriting the movie.

    The Shannara Chronicles

Amberle at least in the book had no clue what was required of her til the end and niether did Wil. But Allanon knew all along what was required of both of them.

    The Shannara Chronicles

I thought so too, Amberle and Wil will face their greatest fears. The real question is how well will the series present that?

Forget about Moffat and Chibby. Who's ready to wait 12 - 20+ months for a new series of Doctor who?

I'd say Sherlock is the reason, they won't start production on the Doctor Who special til after Sherlock's filming is done. Then film the special and the season of Doctor Who after that.

Forget about Moffat and Chibby. Who's ready to wait 12 - 20+ months for a new series of Doctor who?

That's not true either, the BBC simply took Graham Williams off Target put him on Doctor Who, fired Hinchcliffe from Dcotor and put him on Target, there was no learning time. This was fairly common for the BBC.

    The Disappointment of Padme

We have no reason to believe that Obi-Wan ever owned a droid.

    The Disappointment of Padme

No, Luke says the droid claimed to be the property of an Obi-Wan Kenobi meaning that Obi-Wan must've owned him at some point.

Innes Lloyd was replaced by Peter Bryant after The Enemy Of The World then later Derick Shermin took over, the Troughton era had three producers. None were all the experienced with science fiction and given the ratings of that era it showed, even though Troughton's Doctor was much beloved by...

    The Disappointment of Padme

R2 was Anakiin's droid, I don't recall Obi-Wan ever owning one himself. R4 came with his fighter.

Heroes Reborn - Season 1 Discussion Thread (with Spoilers)

I liked Heroes Reborn, the finale wasa busy one but overall I liked the season. It's odd though that the older characters were for the most part killed off in the most horrible ways possible.
