This popped up in my YouTube feed. A VOY-era fan film that's pretty good. They built their own alien sets and tackle the medical industry complex, as well as a pandemic.
La La Land announced a new edition of the TMP soundtrack. A limited 2-disc edition, which is one disc shorter than their previous release.
Here's what La La Land says about the site:
Looks like Anovos has finally collapsed under the weight of delays and never delivering orders. It's gone, replaced by a new successor company, Denuo Novo (which translates to New Anovos). The new venture is in conjunction with NECA and Rubies.
It's uncertain who from Anovos is involved with...
Looks like La La Land is issuing a new complete, limited edition TWOK soundtrack album this month.
They just announced it on their Facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/lalalandrecords/photos/a.181243738754/10160096008888755/?type=3&theater
I might pick this up since I really love both...
So apparently, Matt Shakman who directed WandaVision has been tapped to take the conn on the next Star Trek movie.
See: https://deadline.com/2021/07/star-trek-film-director-wandavision-matt-shakman-1234792438/
But the next Trek movie has become the Lucy and the football of Bad Robot...
This popped up in my YouTube recommendations. It's from the same fan filmmaker who's made several ENT-era shorts.
No spoiler review: It's not bad. Tells a complete story beginning to end in less than 20 minutes. A typical Trek tale, not much depth. But at least the main character makes a...
James Cawley just released on YouTube a work print of the never finished "Origins" episode, which was partly based on David Gerrold's unused TOS script, "The Protracted Man".
Part One:
Part Two:
A fascinating artifact from the heyday of TOS-based fan films.
EDIT: I just noticed I typed...
Just came across this Doug Drexler video where Andy Probert walks through designing the Enteprise-D, highlighting some things that I didn't know about. Such as:
The main bridge was almost placed at the rear of the Star Drive's cobra head.
Ambassador was at first the class of the "D" not...
I'm surprised that this hasn't been posted yet.
It's a TMP fan film set during Kirk's meeting with Nogura.
I applaud them in completing the film even if it wasn't my cup of Earl Grey. But it is interesting to see a fan film set within my favorite Trek film! Also kudos for casting lots of POC!
I'm surprised this hasn't been posted yet in the forum, but there's a new Star Trek (TNG) fan film on the horizon.
Here's the trailer for the upcoming release, "The Holy Core":
These are the same folks who did "Chance Encounter":
For this new production, they reused the shuttle set...
At long last... or not... Marc Scott Zicree has released the first hour of Space Command, the other Kickstarter wunderkind. Unlike Alec Peters he finished something, even if it's half of the two-hour movie he promised.
This is a short put together by British impressionist Jon Culshaw, who does a brilliant Tom Baker. But I think it's an example of what someone could do under the current Trek Fan Film Guidelines.
More time doesn't necessarily mean better quality or a better story. The trick is to work within...
"It All Goes Away" is an adaptation of Jeph Loeb's tale that finds a young Clark Kent dealing with the loss of his closest friend.
It's a yarn of deep loss and sadness, all told in under 15 minutes. Check it out:

And there's a typo in the thread title! Oh brother!
The Roddenberry 360 Project released today Gene Roddenberry's letter to Harlan Ellison regarding the latter's critique of Trek during a broadcast interview.
Ellison made a few inflammatory remarks about STAR TREK on a February 1976 interview with Tom Synder, which also featured De Kelly...
Star Trek Comic Book Review has turned a couple of Gold Key STAR TREK comics into radio dramas.
STCBR is currently doing a casting call for their third drama. Kirk is already taken. I know, I tried. :)
I know a few others and I have proposed that adapting a Gold Key comic would make a...
