Star Wars References in Star Trek...

So, I was getting in some playing time with my Romulan toon, on "Star Trek Online," and came across a Romulan NPC - non-player character - that looked extremely familiar. I told myself, 'He looks exactly like Lobot, a character from "The Empire Strikes Back!"' (Lo and behold, the character's name 'Tobol' is 'Lobot' backwards....).

We've had the Breen who wear suits that resemble Leia's bounty hunter outfit from "Return of the Jedi" and we heard Captain Pike in 2009's "Star Trek" say "Punch it!" as a reference to Han Solo in the aforementioned "Empire Strike Back."

Are there any others?

I don't know, but one opportunity I've always thought they missed was to have a lightsaber mounted on the wall in Tom's quarters.

R2-D2 appears, barely visible, in both new movies - in the debris field above Vulcan, and blown out of engineering during the battle with the Vengeance.

The Millennium Falcon is part of the fleet which takes on the Borg at the start of First Contact.

And, Tom explains to Harry when asked about said lightsaber: "Not as clumsy or random as a phaser; an elegant weapon for a more civilized age."

I remember the Falcon appearing in "First Contact," but I never was able to clearly make it out...lol

Doesn't the Enterprise novel The Good That Men Do take place partly at Mos Eisley? Or am I misremembering that?

Sucks getting old!

Alderaan has popped up in both TNG and DS9, and it's noted to be somewhat close to DS9.

I thought King Daniel was joking. I was about to applaud his very dry delivery until I scrolled down.

I didn't know any of that. There is much I don't know.

Perhaps my latently homosexual fantasy of watching Worf and Chewbacca fight may still one day come true.

Labels on walls and doors in TNG are supposed to be full of references to other TV shows and movies. One of the doors on the hallway set was supposedly labeled "Commander Skywalker," at least for a while.

In the HD re-releases they should've gone back and altered the sign above Troi's office to read: "Generally Grievous."

I always thought DS9's Valiant was meant to be a sort of play on Star Wars in that the schematics of that Dominion super battleship revealed a weakness in a ventilation shaft which the Valiant's crew believed they could exploit and destroy the ship, only to have it end up backfiring and resulting in their own destruction.

The Nimbus III sequences - from "Star Trek V" - with the bar, town, and shady individuals are similar to Mos Eisley, but I don't know if it was intentional.
