The Voyager Novels

^Well, you're not being "told what happens," you're being offered someone else's speculation about what might happen. The novels are one speculation about what happened after the series, the comics are another, the MMORPG is another. You're not the only one who likes imagining what happened next, so it can be fun to listen to other people's speculations and compare them to your own.

I'll take it into consideration. I just prefer to make up my own continuations. So things happen the way I want them to rather than being told what happens.
Maybe you might want to consider fanfiction, as well as checking out the pro novels. There are some excellent post-Endgame stories.

I love reading fanfiction! Once I'm finished the series I plan on writing some of my own. One more thing, do any of the novels feature The Doctor as a major character?

The first two post-"Endgame" novels (Homecoming/The Farther Shore) by Christie Golden are solid. Anything post-"Endgame" with Kirsten Beyer's name on it is an automatic winner.

Though take my opinion with a grain of salt. I'm not a huge Voyager fan.

In the most recent post-Endgame Voyager novel - Protectors (1/28/14), the Doctor had a prominent part in one storyline. He's had quite a time since Voyager returned.

Thanks for the info:) The Doctor is my second favourite character.

Okay... So everybody has pretty much told me I am missing out on the post Endgame novels. So once I finish Mosaic, read Fire Ship and Seven Of Nine, oh and watch the rest of the series, I will give Homecoming/Distant Shores a try.

...All these years my mom warned me about peer pressure:)

Well not all of the Doctor's experiences in the novels post Endgame have been "good" or positive, but he has been doing "stuff" lol (in the novels' universe).

Pathways may be "de-canonized" but it's still a good read, I recommend reading it still. It makes an excellent follow up to Mosaic too.

You should also check out the William Shatner Mirror Universe trilogy with the books "Spectre, Dark Victory & Preserver" that feature the MU versions of the Voyager crew, plus the Prime universe versions of the Voyager crew show up in the Captain's trilogy.

"Star Trek Badlands" book 4 also includes a prequel story explaining Tuvok's intelligence mission in the Maquis. And Susan Wright also did a 2-part story called Dark
Passions" that occurs in the Mirror Universe with mostly the TNG, DS9 and Voyager women (including Annika Hansen). Unfortunately the story is in a different continuity from Shatner's Mirror Universe stories.

It's Homecoming and the Father Shore, Distant Shores is an anthology of stories set during the series.

I'm guessing you're a big Janeway fan. Mosaic and Fire Ship are must reads. Then, anything after the end of the series.

"Violations" and "Endgame" were also a good Janeway books (not to mention but the TV show essentially adapted "Violations" in Season 4).

I remember the last time I read "The Murdered Sun", due to Janeway and Paris being on the cover, I assumed that Janeway and Paris would be part of the A-plot, and yet their plot was only a B-plot. Chakotay seemed to get the A-plot in the book.

Thanks for that!

There were several Janeway focused stories in the anthology Distant Shores.

My favorite was the one focused on her fiancé/boyfriend titled "Letting Go". That one was episode material IMHO. Also "Isabo's Shirt" is a Janeway/Chakotay story that started as a unsold episode. Kristen Beyer wrote "Isabo's Shirt" is the current writer of the Voyager novels and some on this board think that they are better then the series. I have not read her novels but did enjoy the short story.
