For how much I love Nordic poetry, I have to question any mythology in which the primeval beings are a man... and a cow.![]()
Yeah, a woman and a pig sounds way more realistic.

I strongly disagree. You'd be surprised what a tongue and carefully applied teeth can do to a man's nipples (with tangible effects 2 feet further down)Men's nipples are the red herring of life. It's best to ignore them completely.![]()
ROTFLMAO! A pity we don't have a Quote Of The Week anymore. This one would have been a top candidate. For how much I love Nordic poetry, I have to question any mythology in which the primeval beings are a man... and a cow.![]()

As for men coming first - has the reason for that ever been researched? For the purpose of propagation it'd be better if both came simultaneousely. So why don't they? (and should we start a new thread about that?)
How about a stopover at Munich airport next time you fly home, HIjol? For purely scientific reasons, of course![]()
I respectfully disagree. The religious aspect was strong in the thread's initial post and even though the both of us are atheists that doesn't necessarily go for everyone else. As good scientists we should try to cover every angle of the question put before us.They don't really matter anyway. As for the religious aspects:
Agreed. They are fascinating, and we can learn so much about people by studying them. One thing we can't learn about from them though, is biology.Religions are an incredibly interesting topic. They reveal so much about the history, lore, customs, economy, sociology, anthropology, and even psychology of any given culture.
I love religions so much, I have what religious people do with them.
It doesn't prove anything. You're also assuming life on Earth came before anywhere else in the Universe. This proves without a doubt that females were the first to come into being in the Universe with males coming into being second.
It didn't happen during the evolution of humans; it happened before life crawled out of the sea. You just finished mentioning how it's true across the entire animal kingdom. That already means it predates man. This means that at one time or another in the early evolution of humans
that a cellular split occurred that evolved man from woman.
I can't help it if you get angry because you are uneducated
