I've never seen an Edgar Wright movie so it really makes no difference to me.
Get thee to Shaun of the Dead!
Ditto.

Shaun of the Dead is great but I think I prefer Hot Fuzz more.
It's a mash up of the Cozy Mystery and the action flick.I grew up on big, dumb action movies so I absolutely loved Hot Fuzz. It's a weird mix - the first half is slow-paced British comedy and the second half becomes the action film it wishes to parody - but I love it. I've seen that movie so many times.
Adam McKay tweeted this:The Wrap is reporting that Rawson Marshall Thurber is the frontrunner to direct Ant-Man.
Edit to add: now AICN is saying that Adam McKay is in final talks to take over as director. He has a history with Paul Rudd, having directed the Anchorman movies.
Edit to add again: and now Adam McKay is out. From The Hollywood Reporter:
Scratch Adam McKay off the list of replacements for Ant-Man helmer Edgar Wright.
Negotiations began with McKay in earnest on Friday but the Anchorman director abruptly decided against taking the job on the film, The Hollywood Reporter has learned. The decision is said to be his alone.
He doesnt exactly say that he is out. Just not sure if he can move his other projects. And yes, met w/Marvel. Kirby & Lee r my Lennon Mccartney so it was awesome. But have other projects I'm committed to. Not sure it can work.
It looks like Adam McKay is no longer interested in replacing Edgar Wright as the director of Marvel’s “Ant-Man,” sources confirm to Variety.
The “Anchorman” helmer has suddenly pulled out of negotiations to step in for Wright. He was in advanced talks to take on the movie just yesterday.

Same here. I love that movie.
I mean, you can't set up a deadline ahead of time, even a logo, hire a director, have that director leave, try to get a new director to join in, have that fail, keep the same deadline for the film's release, and then call it the person's film of whoever does end up directing it.
I'm actually more interested in the Ant Man movie now that Wright is being replaced. I really wouldn't want to see an Ant Man that isn't like the Ant Man from the comics, in as much as the other Avengers are like their respective selves.
