‘Superman & Batman’ movie will follow ‘Man of Steel’

Is that a reflection of The Joker on the left?

All I see on the left is the Batmobile wheel.
Huh, on my phone it really looked like a distorted Joker face. Never mind.

You're not the only person who's said that. I've seen it suggested on other site and when blown up, I can see the Joker-ish face, though I think it's more like a Raimi-style Green Goblin. I think it's just a happy accident with the blurry image, though it would be really cool if it was a deliberate subliminal clue.

Hmm, lightening it up you can make out more of the belt. And there doesn't appear to be much in the way of gloves there.

With the way this photo is lighted, it looks like he's barechested and just wearing the cowl

I love it. That might be the best Batman costume put on film to date. I can't wait to see it in motion. It kind of looks like it might be made from material similar to that used in Henry Cavill's costume, which practically molded itself to Cavill's musculature.

I found a high res version that someone colorized. I hope it's close to what the suit looks like for real, because it's fantastic. The image is pretty huge, though, so here's a link to it instead.

Oh wow, didn't realize all that texture was there before. Just assumed it was smooth rubber like the Begins costume. That does look fantastic.

Although I think it's a stretch to think the bat symbol is as dark as he made it. Seems pretty clearly to be the same shade as the surrounding suit.

I really like the suit and the car. I was curious when they said we would be getting something very different, and I am glad it is. I understand the idea behind the armored suit Nolan used, but this feels more like something out of the comics to me. Now I wanna see Gal Gidot in costume, if she has one.

Perhaps it's the wheel that gets lost, allowing the Joker to escape.

Snyder has said this Batman is already a veteran crimefighter when we meet him. Maybe it's a reflection of a trophy in the Batcave.

Gotta admit to being pleasantly surprised by the look. Maybe this film will deliver.

On a side note, shouldn't the film be called World's Finest after the Batman/Superman comics?

Too inside. It would have meaning to comics fans, but would be strange and uninformative to the vast majority of moviegoers who aren't versed in comics history.

Besides, WF was a team-up comic. The title of this film is Superman vs. Batman. They're playing up the rivalry. Basically they're copying the Dark Knight Returns version of Batman and his conflict with Superman therein -- which is worrying, because Miller evidently hated Superman and portrayed him in a very unflattering light.

The title of the film hasn't officially been announced yet. Though I don't think they'll use "World's Finest," either.

The movie is only partly drawing on The Dark Knight Returns. Snyder said this about doing a more direct adaptation of The Dark Knight Returns: "If you were going to do that, you would need a different Superman. We’re bringing Batman into the universe that now this Superman lives in."
