One thing I'll add: this is the first movie where I thought Nick Fury was an actual character, rather than Samuel L. Jackson doing his normal schtick.
They could have two people be the Head of Security.
Besides, it should be obvious by now that Tony gives all the sweet jobs to his friends.

Actually, if Stark is going as "all in" with the Avengers as he seems to be, he should hire Hill to work for the team rather than the company. A woman with Hill's skills would be invaluable to the operation.
Before the data dump, Maria's resume should have been bleak and sparse because her entire career would have been 38 levels above presidential security clearance.

I can see her pitching her own job, a corporate answer to S.H.I.E.L.D. a blackwater black if you will.
Hydra has trillions of dollars of infrastructure and resources dedicated towards world domination, and if the government fights that, it just winds up blow to pieces or lost in a warehouse forever... What if Maria wants to "steal" Hydra, pick their organization to pieces, and then reverse engineer or outright sell every thing they capture through military endeavour to the US Government and other parties.

I think she is an Avenger at the moment.
Maria helped save the day, and still in a full S.H.I.E.L.D. uniform, she's standing beside a group of Avengers, when Stark announces to the press "ladies and Gentlemen: THE AVENGERS!"
I believe she was surprised and sure that it was an error of some sort, but no one has told her otherwise yet.
The Avengers By-laws written in lawyerese, in the back of an annual from the 80s, says that active Avengers get a thousand dollars a week and reserve avengers get $500 a week... Which always made me curious why Spider-Man had money problems since if you squinted he was a reservist from at least the mid nineties.
If Maria gets a cheque in the mail, then she had best think about showing up to a couple meetings now and then before they stop sending cheques.
With the completion of How I met Your Mother, Cobie has more time on her hands... Would Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. try to lock her in to more regular appearances?

I thought it looked way better than the aging effects on Jeff Bridges in Tron Legacy. Maybe it's just that making someone look older will always look better than making them look younger?
In the latest episode (before TWS' tie-in episode) Ward kills a primary target he's ordered to apprehend, falls for a character he didn't have interest in earlier, and possibly takes over the jet at the end. He could be Hydra but Blackwidow is seen in TWS wearing the face of another character (the council member). If shield is capable of doing that, could Ward just be someone else?
Awesome movie and a fast-paced action adventure! I didn't see the first Captain America because I didn't like Chris Evans as an actor, but I thought his character was pretty good in The Avengers. This movie has a lot of references to ABC's SHIELD, and I think it would've been nice if we had cameos by Agent Coulson and his team. Who would've thought Jasper Sitwell was working for HYDRA? I'm assuming the organization Centipede is a branch of HYDRA as well, since someone inside SHIELD is/was acting as the Clairvoyant. I can't wait to find out on the next episode of AoS.
I liked the post-credit scene with Pietro and Wanda Maximoff in holding cells.

Want to post my impressions before hours of wading through back posts.
IM3 made me think that IM2 wasn't that bad after all...TDW underwhelmed me, which was particularly sad because Thor was my personal favorite Phase 1 film....
But holy crap, was TWS ever the Phase 2 film that I was waiting for.
Not sure how free the spoilers are in here yet, so I'll say that I found the reveal in the bunker to be very effective.
As others have indicated in AoS's thread, it will be very interesting to see where they take the show from here without giving away most of the film....

There's a couple of HUGE tie-ins if you saw the 4/1/14 Agents of Shield episode -- The 'Clairvoyant' was discovered to be a computer program (effectively, it was the 'digital' Arnim Zola, which makes sense once you see the film); and Agent Sitwell was sent to the ship that Cap and crew rescued the hostages from.
As for the film itself, I loved it. It had decent action, a good story and ALL the characters were done well, and had moments to shine. Hell, they even managed to make to make the Falcon somewhat cool, and not at all ridiculous.

A- movie, really, really enjoyed it. It had plenty of faults in it but with those thrown in the bag the movie still comes out on top. I agree with what many reviewers have said that the movie feels like it'd make a good "Political Thriller"-type movie without the superhero and comic-book movie elements in it.
Chris Evans grew on me even more as Captain America really making the character really someone to get behind rather than some anachronistic, hyper-patriotism, icon from a different era.
Very, very good use of Black Widow/Johannson here. Her character gets that much more interesting and expanded. Also good use of Falcon.
Very enjoyable, fun, movie. The biggest problem with it is that it, again, seems like this is a pretty damn big event/crisis to have "just happen" like it's BAY for the world. Which, yeah, maybe in the Marvel Universe it IS, but I would think 3 massive Hellicarriers coming out of Washington D.C. would pretty much get people really freaked the fuck out over just what the hell the government is doing where these billions upon billions of dollars just came from!
And then moments later there's a massive information dump from a government agency, which soon falls apart, and those three massive ships crash into the Patomic.
Pretty damn messed up, seems like the MCU suffers through a damn hell of a lot!
Also really liked the use of SLJ here and I didn't believe for a second he was really dead. I wasn't expecting a Coulson-like resurrection but I knew Fury wasn't dead. Not for a second.
Seeing the Zola databse was interesting
I'm sure there's much greater plans in the works down the road with future CA and Avengers movies but I was partly waiting for TWS/Bucky to turn around at the end and help Cap complete his mission to put the chip into the terminal. (Or the chip would be damaged in the struggle and Buky/TWS turned coat and helped Cap to crash the ship, essentially sacrificing himself only to survive/be resurrected later maybe in the post-credits stinger.)
Good, fun, intriguing movie. I'd probably call it the 2nd, maybe 3rd best in the MCU at this point (behind Avengers and maybe Iron Man 1.)
Good action scenes, good character moments and good character interactions. Also some very good and interesting "world building" to see where it goes from here. I really need to watch those AoS I have on my DVR.
