Continuum the new tv series!

^I'm not so sure about Julian. Sure, his future self in the original timeline became the head of a violent terrorist organization, but we've seen that the future is mutable, and at this point, Julian is still on the fence. He's still trying, at least somewhat, to advance the cause without violence, although he has enough anger and bitterness in him that we can see that might not last. Maybe if Kiera and Alec -- and now Carlos and Betty -- can influence him in the right way, they could keep him from becoming the violent Theseus of Kiera's home timeline. But it's just as possible that the darker forces influencing Julian from without and from within could lead him to greater violence. So he could go either way. If he's a villain, he's Schroedinger's Villain.

Good point. I keep thinking of him as the boogey man from the future scenes, but I guess is a chance now that that isn't guaranteed to happen.

If Alec has been changed so much that he will never put Julian in such a situation... Then Julian can kick back and enjoy the future.

Besides, in season three, the timeline Alec skipped out on, if we ever see it again, no longer has any Alec Saddler. Theseus has no one to fight who is saving the world wrong. In All-Star Superman, Luthor actually does it and kills Superman, it takes a while, a year even, solar radiation (overdose) poisoning... But kal has this nice speech to Luthor at the end "You've always said that if I wasn't standing in your way, that you could save the world, well I'm not standing in your way any more, in a week I'm going to be dead and buried, so why don't you just do it already, go ahead and save the world."

In the new timeline created by Alec going back to save his girlfriend... There are two Alec Saddler's unless the writers wussy out and one of them gets killed half way through the first episode of season three.

Meanwhile you have to remember that the freelancers come from a timeline where there was no Alec Saddler, but because they can navigate between timelines, it's not so much of a concern to them as they can still go home.

More so than navigating between timelines, their tech would have to have zero impact and not create alternate timelines, otherwise their travel device is counter-intuitive to their philosophy.

Hum. Might have to start this show again now that I realized half or more of the cast is ALSO starring on "Arctic Air", which I'm enjoying...

Mark

^ Yeah there's quite a bit of crossover between the two shows... Markinson, Lobo, Doig, Reardon and I'm probably forgetting a few people.

How hard would it be to move to Canada?

I'm going to start spoiling the shit of yesterdays episode soon.

This is your one warning to stay out of this thread.

Ô Canada!
Terre de nos aïeux,
Ton front est ceint de fleurons glorieux!
Car ton bras sait porter l'épée,
Il sait porter la croix!
Ton histoire est une épopée
Des plus brillants exploits.
Et ta valeur, de foi trempée,
Protégera nos foyers et nos droits.
Protégera nos foyers et nos droits.

I'm in the US also but could not wait last season so I BT'd it, I will again this season.

OH I LOVED IT.

I felt like it was back on form.

Garza is SO HOT. I mean.. gah, she's hot. She's chunky and hot.

Just look at this panty leap..

She is really amazing.

AND Jason, yes yes.. also VERY hot.

So I think it still has the potential to get as tight as season 1 was but it also could just unravel into Lost style wtf'ness. I'm happy it's back, good opening.

One thing that always impresses me in this show is the fight scenes. They are always well done and suck you in.

Bumping this old chestnut to ask if there's been any word on whether or not a season 4 has been scheduled by SyFy? Bingeing the show on Netflix now and I'de like to know before I get too involved with Rachel Nichols' legs. Couldn't find anything online about it.

New season starts friday on SyFy.

Yep. Looking forward to it. Blew through seasons 1 & 2 in the course of five days earlier this month, then I found out Season 3 was about to start. Unbelievably good timing on my part in discovering this series.

It's not SyFy's decision. Showcase in Canada owns the show and they decide whether it gets a new season. However, at the moment it's still a bit too early for word on a fourth season. Give them another few weeks to a month, assuming they follow the pattern they did these past few years.

3 episodes into the the 3rd season. There is a lot going on and things at many levels.

Obviously the whole timeline has changed. One thing I wondered about is why Escher got killed in this timeline and not the old one. I would guess that when future Alex told Emily he wanted to take her to Thailand she then decided to take Kellogg up on his offer and Kill Escher, whereas before it made more sense for her to work for Escher?

As far as past Cameron's murder goes, I still say it was future Cameron that was temporarily controlled and shot her past self and does not remember it. This jives with what we see in the teaser of the episode 3 of this season.

I'm 2 eps in, gonna watch the third tonight.

I'm so mad a flickr, they have disabled posting to BB's. JERKS.

I've regressed to only being able to talk about stuff via my own picture books
