What happened to...

Nightcreature

Lieutenant Commander
Red Shirt
Obviously we know that Sisko being taken to be with the Prophets was up in the air after the show ended only to return at some point but there were a few other unresolved character stories by the end of the show.

1. What happened to Tom Riker? Does he have to remain in prison the rest of his life or does Kira somehow live up to her promise and get him out?

2. Kurn - Worf's brother - After the Dominion War and Worf's new position in the Klingon Empire, does advanced medical treatment give Kurn his memory back or does he remain with the family that adopted him?

Is there anyone else I am missing please feel free to mention them?

Is baby Sisko a boy or a girl? Does Kasidy Sisko stay on the station or move to Bajor?

Does Ezri eventually leave Bashir for Captain Boday?

Does Leeta dress as a traditional Ferengi woman?

Do Quark and Grilka make it work? And what will Quark do to get the Latinum out of Morn's dead body?

All these questions, & more, will be answered on the next episode of Soap!

I would say there's a high probability Tom Riker was executed by the Dominion. If they didn't kill him immediately upon making the alliance, then when the Founder gave the order to kill the population, the prison camps were first.

And in my mind the episode where Kurn was memory erased never happened.

I always wanted to know if Ro Laren was killed when the Maquis were slaughtered by the Dominion. Of course, Ro Laren didn't appear on DS9, but I think that the show could have addressed her fate even if Michelle Forbes didn't want to appear on the show.

^ She's a TNG character (so was Tom Riker, but she's was more important than he was) and given that TNG was still going in movie form during DS9's run the producers of DS9 might not have had the go ahead to do anything with her in case the TNG folks wanted her at a later date.

I always thought Kai Opaka would return after getting stuck in the GQ, but I was in the end pretty wrong on that.

Ro Laren could have easily been killed, then again she could have also easily spent the rest of her life living it up in a Federation prison camp.

Or maybe she died when the Caretaker took her ship to the DQ. So many possible Maquis fates, none of them happy except for those lucky bastards on Chakotay's ship who survived. Or for all we know she was on Voyager the whole time and just never made it on camera.

the Kurn issue was one that's always irritated me. Considering that Worf had lost and regained his honor before, it was ridiculous that they would do something as drastic as they did to Kurn. And then there's ZERO acknowledgement later that Worf essentially erased his brother for nothing.

That's definitely one of the series worst episodes. Because, if they can get Kurn secretly adopted by another family, they can do it without erasing his memory.

Love DS9, but they butchered pretty much Worf's entire family.

Well, if Kurn had been willing to work for a foreign government, he probably could have had an advisory position at the highest level. The idea that he would catch petty thieves on the Promenade was too silly. Rewarding work would be out there for him.

Do Quark and Grilka make it work? And what will Quark do to get the Latinum out of Morn's dead body?

I'd be more interested if he ever got back together with what's her name the Cardassian dissident. She could have easily fled Cardassia the moment they made the deal with the Dominion and survived the war.

Kurn's memory was erased because Kurn couldn't live with himself.

(and what did happen to the borg baby?)

:)

Ahh, I forgot about her! Nonetheless,I would have loved to see Quark have a new romance in the last season, certainly more than Bashir.

It's not canon but Ro Laren returns and becomes chief of security on DS9 after Odo leaves in the DS9 Avatar books and she gets into some conflicts with Major Kira. Even when I read it way back then, it sounded a bit silly.

whatever Kurn's personal reasons, it was absurd that they chose such a drastic solution when only A FEW YEARS BEFORE Kurn had witnessed Worf lose and then regain his honor, just as he would the second time.

Kurn twice sought to end his own life, to expect him to simply endure a couple of years of ongoing shame within his society would be unreasonable.

Why silly?
While there might have been a general amnesty after the Dominion War, it make no sense that Ro would remain in Starfleet in any capacity. And if she went into the Bajorian Militia, Starfleet would not want her on DS9 and would strongly request her not to be assigned there.

She simply couldn't be trusted.
