2014 release schedule?

Awesome cover! I'm glad they went back to the same cover design as the original mini-series :techman:. Too bad The Buried Age and the DS9 Lost Era books won't match this one :(

Christopher posted this in another thread about the cover, which I found pretty convincing:

I'm not sure what would've been a good choice of ship image if The Buried Age had followed the previous cover design. There are several different featured ships in the course of the book.

Besides, it was felt at the time that the book would be more marketable as a TNG novel than a Lost Era novel. And it is essentially an origin story for TNG, much as Terok Nor is an origin story for DS9. The other TLE books are either focused on ships that didn't have their own series (Excelsior, E-B, E-C) or crossing over characters and events from multiple series, so there's nothing to label them with other than TLE. But the others are arguably TNG/DS9 first and TLE second.

This might be a bit of a heads-up for those who have not bought Fallen Gods yet as an e-book, and are wanting to. Chapters-Indigo.ca is reporting that April 12, 2014 is the release date for a Trade Paperback version of Fallen Gods with a list price of $26.99 (CDN). http://www.chapters.indigo.ca/books...oks&gcs_requestid=0CJjDuf7e_LwCFQom5wodeF4AAA

Good lord, why on earth is that being released as a trade paperback? That was definitely my least favourite Trek novel of 2012.

^ That's probably the reason it is released as TPB.

If I'm not totally mistaken, those (overpriced) TPB are POD versions of books that have fallen out of print.

Not sure how believable those listings are, but Amazon now lists

- Greg Cox's November TOS novel as Fould Deeds will Rise and

- Una McCormack's January 2015 novel as Star Trek: Deep Space Nine: The Missing (instead of TNG: Home Again)

Probably just a typo, but I feel obliged to point out that that should be "Foul Deeds," not "Fould Deeds."

Yeah, just a typo. :alienblush:

But with Greg only criticizing my typing skills and Una confirming on Twitter, I guess those two titles are legit.

No criticism intended. Just wanted to nip that typo in the bud before it took on a life of its own! :)

Foul Deeds Will Rise is a badass name for a novel. Super cool.

And hey - this means Deep Space Nine will be a novel brand again for the first time since 2009!

If only that were the DS9 book...

The crew of Deep Space Nine face their greatest and most intimidating challenge. The waste extractor in Morn's quarters, long a growing menace to station life, needs cleaning out soon - before it shuts down life support altogether. Unfortunately for the stalwart crew of the station, last night was Yridian Curry Night at Quarks'. Can Sisko and his crew prevail?

In all seriousness, it is a great title. :)

It's from Shakespeare. Hamlet, to be exact.

Which is, of course, a grand old Star Trek tradition. I can't believe it's taken me this long to hit the Bard up for a title! :)
