Reading Order Question

Hi, so right now I am on "full circle" I looked at the trek-lit reading order and decided to read upto The Eternal Tide and then switch to the typhon pact books

Then i'll go cold equations, and then the fall.

Is this a correct order?

Yep, that sounds about right. (With the proviso that they weren't necessarily written in that order, but they are chronologically set in that order.)

Also, the latest Voyager book Protectors is the follow-up to The Eternal Tide, and presumably takes place sometime during the Typhon Pact books (it has passing mentions of the Enterprise and the Aventine), but doesn't particularly affect those books so doesn't need to be read during them if you don't want.

so i would be ok to read protectors before i start typhon pact?

I know it's not an exact science i just hate it if you dont understand references etc

There is one small spoiler for the first TNG Typhon Pact book in The Eternal Tide, if that kind of thing bothers you.

I haven't read them, but doesn't Eternal Tide take place in 2381 and Typhon Pact novels start in 2382?

Eternal Tide is entirly in 2381. Protectors runs a few months from the end of Eternal Tide in late 2381 to early 2382.

Actually Rough Beasts of Empire spans the year from February 2381 to February 2382, filling the gap between Destiny and the other TP books. The misconception that the series begins in '82 comes from the fact that RBoE was not the first one published.

Protectors spans September '81 through January '82, so it would end about a month before the endings of RBoE and Watching the Clock (which cover about the same span of time) and three months before Zero Sum Game.

Yet there is still a spoiler about the events of the TNG Typhon Pact book in The Eternal Tide. To say how would probably spoil the OP.
