But by what degree?

Can't you wait for the episode where she rips the arms off a robot then drop kicks it into the ceiling?

One of the lawyers in Century City (go back 4 pages.), the pretty blonde one, was genetically modified, and her lawyer plot about her genetic history was that the genetically modified were all intentionaly sterile and that sterility was not allowed to be reversed even though it was conceivable that it could be... High profile human rights Case this, judge that, conspiracy this, National Security that, but in the end it was revealed that random members of the genemod groups had odd unpredictable health issues like progeria, so quite scared the regular humans in charge did not want that funk getting into the regular human genepool beccause that would most probably mean the end of the species after half a dozen generations interbreeding with those freaks.

I thought it was just fine. FOX probably decided to push it back because it lacked lots of explosions.

I like that it FINALLY gave Detective Hottie something to do, though IMO she is miscast on this show. She does not look or act like a cop. Also, since this episode was apparently made she's basically been eye candy at the precinct. Use her or lose her, guys.

Finally, that lawyer was SO anachronistic. He was using an ancient Windows Suface tablet from, like, 2013, man! Must be a collector's item. ALL the tablets in 2048 are so much bulkier and with a smaller screen - get with the times!

I'm really digging this show, very much so. It's certainly "Fringe-esque".

I thought these episodes seemed a bit out of order, good to know I wasn't wrong in this regard.

Same here. I was leery at first... but it's starting to come together. Great cast!

I thought this episode had a good set-up, but I lost interest half-way through. The idea of a Smart House going crazy isn't a new one, but the back-story of the self-defense angle was a good one.

With things like "Stand Your Ground," the idea of a smart-security system killing to protect its occupants is an interesting one, and like all good sci-fi ideas, it's one that could, possibly become a reality. The "Right to Bear Arms" debate should get interesting when it's not quite humans bearing the arms. I would have liked to see more done on this angle, as it was what saved the beginning of the episode from being a standard procedural plot (albeit in the future).

Nice, quick use of Urban's Australian accent. Not sure what it accomplished, though, since everyone, but the hacker were in VR, and the instant he was brought out, he made them as cops.

I'm not too thrilled about another sub-plot being dropped, namely Dorian's hacking. With the whole Vaughn plot from a few episodes ago, Kennix's backstory, etc. it seems like they are trying to fit too much in. Perhaps it will all tie together, but that would a bit too convenient. I think they should have stuck with one sub-plot, teased it every few episodes, waited for a pay-off, then went onto another sub-plot.

I bet that it'll play better that way.

I enjoyed this episode. It wasn't anything amazing, but I thought the case was interesting, and they set up an intriguing arc with Dorian's memories. As for the arcs tying together, I wouldn't be surprised if the Insyndicate and Vaughn stories actually ended up tying together.
