Fellas…are there "girlie" things that you like/enjoy?

Whilst it is exceedingly rare that I get this opportunity, I like to shop with my woman for a dress, or an outfit she wants to wear. I hate having to lie about the stupid shit most women try looking trendy in. Invariably it fails to make them look like whatever hot chick they saw wearing it (perhaps, even enhancing flaws, like a flat chest, or fat ass) forcing me to say shit like ... "Looks great on you, Baby" to preserve my "next time" of passion with them. If only they'd dress themselves in what they actually, you know ... look GOOD in, instead of what happens to be fashionable that month. No ... let ME pick it out for you ... trust me. I know what looks good on you.

Gross.

I've committed to growing a ponytail. Not sure it's that girly TBH, especially considering my eternal 2-day stubble of +1 manliness, but I'm sure some people will take it that way.

EDIT: I also deeply enjoy watching Project Runway.

It's not surprising (if a bit sad) that some men (apparently even in this thread) share that view (subconsciously?).

I don't know if that's fair. As you point out, there's a line of thought that childish = feminine and since the point of the thread is to say what "feminine" things you like, people will bring that up as it's the way much of society views feminine interests. Doesn't mean the poster necessarily agrees it should be viewed that way.

Don't get so defensive. My point was that the "feminine=childish" theme is still very common and that some people in this thread might be part of keeping it alive subconsciously. Whether they actually agree with it when called out is a different question.

For all I know everybody in this thread might be well aware of the problem and completely disagree with it.

These are probably stereotypes so I don't necessarily agree with their categorization, but...

My wife says I like shopping and shoes, which are generally supposed to be things women like to do. I don't see this that way though.

I also take a longer than usual time to prepare myself to go out, which again, is stereotypically female, but I know lots of guys who do the same, especially if they are single. Don't let guys fool you. ;)

For the record I do think MLP is "childish" but not feminine necessarily.

The only "girlie" thing I really enjoy is an ocassional hot bubble bath with candles, wine, music - the works. So, so very relaxing...

Q2

Oh, I'm not being defensive. After all, neither shopping nor Ke$ha is considered childish. ;)

Mine doubles as a cock ring.

I laughed.

I'm going to hell now.
No worries, barbecue supposed to be awesome.

So basically you buy gloves?

Does enjoying sewing, cooking, and musicals count as "girlie things"?
