They are making TV shows about 4 different Marvel characters, that seems sci fi related at least.

You think there's a possibility of a Romulan War movie? I hope that's true, but how would that work? I really doubt we're getting a big budget theatrical ENT Romulan War movie.
It occurs to me though how awesome it would be if we got some flashbacks of the ENT crew, new footage, in the third new Trek movie. Say maybe Romulans are the big bads in the next movie hypothetically, and there were flashbacks to the Romulan War with the same villain facing Archer and T'Pol and the Enterprise. Bonus points if we see Trip in disguise as a Romulan.

Well apparently that is why we got the Xindi arc rather than a Romulan war season. Because TPTB wanted to hold onto the Romulan war as a possible future movie. It won't be ENT though I don't think.

Honestly, I am so disengaged from superheroes that I had forgotten about that, but you're right.

Still, it says something about how risk-adverse Netflix has been thus far. They've aired properties tied to recognizable "auteurs" (David Fincher, Eli Roth, the Wachowskis) and revived "cult" television properties like Arrested Development that have grown their audiences since their initial, failed runs on broadcast.

Now they're entering a risky genre (sf/fantasy), but doing so in the safest way possible (by tying themselves to the mega-successful Marvel/Disney film series).

Star Trek could fit in that model, but I don't think Enterprise would. The audience for the series really hasn't grown since cancellation, and none of the talent has gone on to great success in the years since (many have gone on to perfectly respectable careers, but compare this to the careers of the cast of Arrested Development).

Huh. That is weird. How would they do a Romulan War movie without the ENT crew? Surely it would be better to use a familiar crew rather than do the movie with all new characters? Kirk and Co. would be out unless they did time travel, which is a possibility I guess. I suppose they could do a recast ENT, but that doesn't seem likely.
I'm at a loss to figure out how a Romulan War movie would happen realisticly. I'd go see it however it got made.

^They nearly made that Romulan War movie in 2008. It was cancelled after a regime change at Paramount and the reigns of Trek were given to J.J. Abrams.

Here is a review of the first-draft script, entitled Star Trek: The Beginning. It starred an ancestor of James T. Kirk, named Tiberius Chase.

Chase is a terrible name. It sounds like a soap opera.

I bet it would have been godawful.. BUT I WANT TO SEE IT. I probably would have loved it anyway.

It really frustrates me that they want to do the Romulan War without the ENT cast!
    I'd still go see it.

Didn't DS9 prove that wars can't be fought in two hours?

A story from the Romulan war as a movie would be cool.

The entire freaking war as a movie would not be cool.

It also proved that war doesn't necessarily get ratings.

I never found the Enterprise cast all that engaging and would be perfectly happy with a Romulan War movie that excluded them. I'd be perfectly happy if it never acknowledged the existence of the series and did its own thing.

The Romulan War books by Michael Martin were brutally bad.

I'd be happy with some guest appearances. I don't need it to be ENT.

And yeah the books were.. kind of awkward.

It was so bad that it dragged down Voyager along with, while still remaining the top syndicated show.

I thoroughly enjoyed the second war in DS9, after that first war that the prophets snapped their fingers and fixed up
