Favourite Trek Couple

Yep I've been K/S since.. there was only K and S :D

My beloved couples would be..

Kirk/Spock

Janeway/7

(these two are the only couples I was ever invested in, I'm not much of a shipper..)

Reed/Hayes

Ezri/Julian

Trip/T'Pol

Otherwise I can pretty much see anyone with anyone else. Though I so agree about Worf and Troi, did not get that at all. How Troi could manage to deal with all that Klingon brouhaha in her head all day long.. I loath Riker though, I would rather see Troi with pretty much anyone else. I think she would do well with a nice Bajoran.

I would have LOVED if they had made Lwaxana and Odo a big thing!

Same. Also, I'm not a big Kira fan, I would have much rather seen Odo get together with Lwaxana instead as a regular thing. They would have been adorable together.

I had to get to my 4th DS9 rewatch to really like Kira.. not that I hated her or anything but I generally found her between irritating and meh with the occasional sympathetic moment. I think Lwaxana and Odo would have provided a lot of humor with both actors playing off each other well. Kira and Odo were soooo earnest at times.. kind of Odo's nature + Bajorans

Of course Odo was much more interesting than any of her other boyfriends.

Well, yes, I certainly liked Odo better than anyone else Kira was with. But I was generally just kinda "meh" about her, whereas Lwaxana was at least fun. I did enjoy Odo and Kira's first kiss, though.

I haven't gotten to my 4th rewatch yet, maybe that'll help my feelings about Kira. ^_^

Unrelated: in a way, I kinda liked Dukat/Winn, because they were both sort of turds and insane and deserved each other.

I would count realizing that was Dukat in her bed as one of my greatest ever Trek watching moments.. and yeah that was a helluva thing the way it played out, each as manipulative as the other.

I thought it was funny when she says he doesn't know his place and he says, "I though my place was in your bed?" ^_^ Anyway, I was entertained by the whole thing, it was destined for failure for obvious reasons, but while it lasted, I thought they were well-matched in some ways.

Odo and Lwaxana would've been a better couple than Odo and Kira. The scene where Lwaxana takes off her wig when she and Odo are trapped in the lift is such a beautiful moment.
I always wanted Lwaxana and the EMH Doctor to meet and have a little romance. I think she'd go for him, and the hijinx would've been hilarious.
I kept my previous answers to more canon couples, or at least possibilities, but I am a Kirk/Spock shipper.

Same.

I rewatched the first few movies just recently, and some of the stuff makes it hard for me to understand how anyone could NOT be a Kirk/Spock shipper.

On that note, I am currently drinking tea out of a mug with Kirk and Spock on it... ^_^

And of course there is this:

I know! I can just imagine her chasing him around sick bay.
I recall at some point in Trek that Lwaxana was speculating on hooking up with a man she thought might be a virgin, or am I imagining that? Just a random thought, since the Doctor would be, at least in the early years, as inexperienced sexually as it would be possible to be.

Except of course he would totally deny that. Because, subroutines.

I'm picturing her playing with what little hair he has and stroking his bald head and murmuring sweet nothings.. and him totally falling for it.

I want to put Spock with someone because he is one of my favorite characters, but can't really think of anyone I would put him with seriously. Same with Data... :( I want to put him with someone... if I think of anyone I'll edit this.

With Spock I love the pairing they made in the novels.

Spock and Saavik. :luvlove:

Feel free to ignore me but I always wondered why this points to KS? It it because its OK for Spock to give Kirk a backrub but not the yeoman? Is a man giving another man a backrub some sort of gay signal? I really honestly don't understand. To me this scene is perfectly innocent.
I apologise if I appear dense or naive.

Kirk/Spock (or Spock/McCoy)
Janeway/Seven
Miles/Julian (although I like this more as a friendship thang than a romance one)
The Doctor/Seven

All these ships, and did I ever get to see one measly canon kiss between any of them? Nope :(

To answer the question about the scene above - for me it's how Kirk *really* gets into it when he thinks it's Spock, but immediately grows uncomfortable when he realises it's the yeoman who's actually digging in. And that little shared look between Spock and Kirk - so slashy :D But hey, sometimes slash is in the eye of the beholder.

I did think Miles and Julian made a cute couple. They certainly seemed to enjoy each other's company more than they did anyone else.
As for the backrub, yeah. Kirk is *really* into it when he thinks Spock is doing it, and puts a stop to it immediately when he realizes it's not Spock working on him. He looks disappointed. I really have no idea what that's supposed to be about if it's not gay. There are lots of little moments like that with K/S, open to interpretation, but sometimes the gay option is the one that makes the most sense, rather than bending over backwards to explain why what just happened wasn't really gay.
