I love clams (which you rarely get here) and mussels which you get a lot and oysters which you can get fresh at markets for a dollar with lemon and tabasco and anything else you want on them and they are big and juicy.

    I pretty much love everything.

So I gathered! When that alien probe comes to call, I hope it catches you, red handed, snacking on that Whale Jerky of yours!!!

I won't be eating cheap whale jerky with red dye, I'm not like americans with their firetruck hotdogs and pistachios and god knows what else.

I suspect you wouldn't be nearly so heavy-handed if your beloved Janeway had a "fire engine red" hotdog with her coffee, come snack time ...

Of course that would be fine, because it would be replicated. Your food can be any old color you like and it will all have the same nutritional properties.

I suspect toddlers will go through phases where they insist all their food is purple and the replicator and their parents happily comply.

That certainly would explain the Dinner Sequence in The Undiscovered Country.

What's wrong with acting like the family members and eating meat? Or will they be discussing the benefits of vegetarianism with the dogs and wolves? Or is the soul and human exceptionalism back in play? And why the preference for fauna over flora. Shouldn't viruses and bacteria have the same rights to life? Diffidence taken to extremes, and vegetarianism is just that, is just being embarrassed at our omnivorous nature. Kick back, get some ribs, and laugh at the betters or worse before the worms get to you. Course, buzzards got eat the same as worms so...

McCoy made Kirk eat colored cubes. That's the food of the future. All of us will be dead by then so they wont have to be bothered by our rants

Ever have a bowl of Campbell's vegetable beef soup?

Brown cubes, orange cubes, white cubes.

    The future is now.

How do you think Neelix stretched rations when they were in those resource thin parts of space? He stole the Doctor's key to the morgue. ;)

Would a species whose religious or cultural tenets involve cannibalism be morally conflicted by eating synthesized human meat?

Good question. You'd have to ask them. I'd have to imagine it would at least be more socially acceptable.
