IF I had a bunch of Zimmerman slaves in my house I would have them all on mute.

Oy vey. I'd better go out and get some coffee if it's going to be one of those days today.

Edit: Back with coffee. I'm not going to tell you it's chilled Starbucks Frappucino Mocha, or you'll just start in again.

    I'd have them sing opera.

Of course not. I'd make them shut up while my soaps are on.

I bet they would be annoying and try and vacuum under your EZ Boy foot rest while you were watching though.

No, they wouldn't. I don't own one of those things. And I also wouldn't let them vacuum when I was watching TV (or YouTube or Netflix).

Besides, if I had the tech available to have Zimmerman holograms to do my housework, wouldn't silent vacuum cleaners have been invented by that time?

But how would you amusingly freak out cats if the vacuums were silent?

You could have all the EMHs wait near the litter box, and when the cat goes in, turn their sound on again.

I wouldn't do that. I love my cats.

Nope. The EMHs can damn well clean the litter box and take out the garbage (would have to put some kind of restriction on the distance they could go with their mobile emitters so they don't escape, of course).

My cats love me more because I save them from the vacuum.

Gotta love the ideas popping up for proper use of virtual slaves. ;)

That's easy. If they're only confined to your house and property, just have standard emitters. If they're using mobile emitters (for shopping errands, etc.), then your vehicle has a transmitter that keeps them from going beyond X meters.

Edit: And if they do try to escape, the vehicle transmitter automatically programs them to sing "Freebird" at the top of their lungs until they're arrested.

How many do you think one person would need? Would a well off family have one for each person? Would it be like that rich kid who got the Ipod when they were 8, having your own EMH slave?
