Yeah he does have the same kind of narrow face that the Neal Adams and Jim Aparo Batman had.

I'm kind of indifferent about Affleck so I don't have much to say. He does look the part though.

The consensus seems to be the opposite of what you're saying. Most people loved Clooney, but thought the movie itself was crap. And as far as I can tell, most people blame Schumacher, not Clooney.

He's neither middle-aged, nor pudgy and personally, I loved him in the role. He seemed like an odd choice at the time, but I thought he ended up playing the part very well.

I still think Clooney looks the most like how I'd imagine a real life Bruce Wayne but Affleck is good too.

^^ Completely agree about Clooney... He was the best person for the role and handed a pile of turd to work with...

Exactly... It's stated in the news release that Affleck's Wayne/Batman will not be Bale's Wayne/Batman... This this will be an "original" vision...

A lot of the MSM are now reporting on the internet backlash about this. In declaring the fanboys "consistently and always wrong", they cite Heath Ledger, Daniel Craig, and the Star Trek reboot.

Heck, I remember the fannish uproar when Keaton was cast. And that movie was a huge hit.

Not my first, second, third, sixth, twentieth choice or whatever but I still think he'll be good enough.

My initial reaction (after the initial shock):

But he's supposedly improved since the old days, so I'm going to be cautiously optimistic.

    Very cautiously. ;)

A lot of people are whining about Affleck because of Daredevil.

But Josh Brolin gets a free pass for Jonah Hex?

Okay, I'm biased since I wrote the novelization, but I never had a problem with Affleck as Matt Murdock. And he's been good in films as diverse as CHASING AMY, ARGO, and SHAKESPEARE IN LOVE.

Yeah, there's GIGLI, but every actor has some turkeys on his resume. You don't see people constantly tagging Sean Penn as the star of SHANGHAI SURPRISE! :)

I'm really surprised the internet hasn't blown up yet, they keep pushing and pushing.

The Batsuit and the Batmobile are very crucial to get right. A grown man in a Batsuit can look silly if not done right. I am sure they will select a suit that goes with Superman's suit.

Batman Fans Beg Obama To Remove Ben Affleck From 'Superman' Sequel

    • There's only one person tough enough to save the country, nay the world, from the sight of Ben Affleck dressed as Batman: President Barack Obama.

Or so some Batman fans thought when they signed a petition at "We the People" to request Affleck's removal from playing the Caped Crusader in the upcoming Man of Steel sequel. "We the People" is part of the White House's official web site where common folk can push change they can believe in.

Sadly, the petition has been taken down from the site.

Didn't one of the recent animated movies have a really cool Batmobile? In the new 52, doesn't he have a shit load of Batmobiles? I hope the Suit is not overly detailed and I hope it's grey this time and not black. Maybe some kind of armor similar to Captain America in the first movie.

I mean, what's next, Indiana Jones finds Bigfoot and Anikan Skywalker's Ghost fights Darth Maul's Ghost in Episode 7?

I can totally envision it. The Soviets want to clone Bigfoot and make a Bigfoot Army and Indy happens to be in the Himalaya's or something, tracking the cultures who have claimed Bigfoot stories, he's trying to find a cultural connection, when he's captured by the Soviets and Mutt has to rescue him.

Edit: In the end, Indy finds a family of Bigfoots that look eerily similar to Wookies. They all laugh and communicate in some way and Indy turn to the camera and say's some corny line and winks, thus tying the Star Wars and Indiana Jones franchises together, roll credits.

In The New 52 he does have a cache of batmobiles which seems to be each one he's had in every incarnation of the character. (A visual in-joke) the one he primarily uses has Tumbler-like features.

I don't want another tank. I want a cool car, not over the top cartoonish, but cool. I think a balance between TDK, TAS. and the Arkham games would be nice. The realistic approach with cool gadgets and a badass Batcave and an Arkham style suite would be perfect, I think.
