New Doctor to be revealed on Sunday

Turns out he was the father Roman in the Fires of Pompeii. Aside from that I haven't seen a single thing he was in.

Seriously, it's Peter Capaldi? My Internet went out on me again list the stream. If so, excellent choice!

He's a very talented actor with a great range and is well respected in the business - the Tardis is in safe hands! :techman:

Turned over just in time to hear the words "Peter Capaldi" - surprised it's him, given his age and the workload, and his filming schedule for Three Musketeers, but happy enough. A Doctor who's older than me or Lesley! Nice. They might bring back the Doctor-as-wizard element I guess. But does this mean the younger companions will take over more, I wonder. Still, works for me.

Wonder if he'll keep the accent?

I don't know his work outside "Pompeii", but he looks promising... also psyched to see a Doctor older than me too, if only by a few years lol.

I am sorry to say I am not familiar with him but I highly approve of the choice of an older Doctor.

Of course I was disappointed when I first heard the news about Matt Smith and I ended up loving him but I think this is a very good choice indeed.

Ah he was in an episode already as i Caecilius n "fires of pompeii". I was thinking he looked familiar. Not bad looking :)

Watched the live show, Glad to finally see another older doctor! I think it's time for that, we've been getting younger and younger, and it's time to change things back up to a older one.

IMO he will remind me of William Hartnell, if I'm not mistaken, perhaps that is where they are headed with this older Doctor, to homage the first Doctor.

I noticed he put his hands on his coat jacket like Hartnell use to do, when he walked out on the stage, perhaps a sign of how they plan to play this Doctor.
