I find Worlds finest to be a much better fit for me.

These two titles are a choice pair.

I'm wondering if Keith Griffen will take it over. He took over on He-Man and the Masters of the Universe when Robinson had to leave that book, and there was almost no change or drop off IMO. Not sure how many titles Griffen is juggling right now though.

Newsarama's turn to speculate on the so-called Villain's Month in September. I expect that this will probably be officially announced at SDCC or just before.

I'm going to blow your mind.

    "Giffen" not "Griffen".

    :)

Supergirl this week was infuckingcredible. It's a worlds finest crossover where Supergirl and powergirl finally hook up and shoot the breeze in her fortress of Solitude under the sea... Unfortunatenately her fortress goes batshit upon discovering Two Kara's inside it, and keeps trying to suggest that one of them commits sucide, or walks calmly following the blue flashing lights along the floor into a prepared killroom, to help end the fraccas, since Krypton had a zero tolerance policy on clones.

Did Supergirl change writers? Becuase it's not usually funny, and this was so funny it hurt funny.

That will probably be my last issue of Earth 2, then.

Just to piss everyone off, Levitz will be the new writer on Earth 2.

From Bleedingcool, it looks like they are probably giving the job to a freelancer so no Levitz thankfully.

Nope, they'll give it to Scott Lobdell. He's such a great writer that everyone loves, right? He can just write all the books. :p

And he's so tender, you usually forgive the scruffy git that he can't boil an egg to save his life the morning after.

Well, there's my nightmares for the next week

Seriously thought, I'm not upset. Maybe a new writer will raise the quality of the book a bit. E2 is ok (and thats a real accomplishment for DC these days) but its just ok, and even then it has a lot of flaws. Maybe someone who didn't write Cry for Justice can make GL less of an unlikeable jackass, or make me care about the extremely lame Dr. Fate, or maybe just kill off Fury and Sloane before those two cliches take up any more page time.

But, with my luck, they'll introduce Liberty Belle or earth 2 Black Canary as an amnesiac who turns out to be a princess who then gets kidnapped and has to be saved from her evil twin sister, who is working with her evil stepmother, to lock her away so that they can take over her kingdom. Then, she'll be saved by Wild Cat (Ted Grant, but his real name will be Prince Theodore Charming) who defeats the evil twin and stepmother and saves the princess, after which they'll get married and give birth to new versions of Jade and Obsidian :klingon:

I agree with your comments on pacing, but I've said it before and I will say it again, Earth 2 is the only true reboot in the new 52. It is what the main universe should have been, a new and original take on the previously established characters.

I really really wanted to like Earth-2, but the pacing was just so dreadful that I had to give up on the book. If I hear that it improves any with a new writer, then I may go and pick up some trades. I can't see putting myself through that monthly frustration again, though.

Yes, Wonder Woman was a pleasant surprise for me and I continue to enjoy it.

I thought it was a great issue too. The way the fortress was talking to Kara was priceless.

Green Lantern #20, the end of Geoff Johns' nine year run on the title.

While I found "First Lantern" to be far and away the weakest storyline they've done, Johns as always managed to write a rousing ending with some good twists and great dialogue and character. I'll really miss his work on the title, and the new guys are probably not going to do it for me. What a run!

I opened up the book, and saw that it was all a story book about yore, and started jumping up and down about the impending death of Hal Jordan! dead, dead, the fuckers dead! Whoopee! ...Which is when he remembered he already died last month.

I particularly loved how it encapsulated Johns' entire run, with
the entire Rainbow Corps, Parallax, Nekron, Sinestro, the Guardians, all vital to the story. And I'm quite glad that Sinestro killed off the Guardians, though it's a bit lame that a new batch were immediately brought into to replace them. But I'm Ganthet and Sayd got a happy ending!

I'm shocked that Johns got to do a future history bit with all the characters. He's basically shackling the writers for decades to come now!

Second Generation Justice League? Hell, yeah!

The Atom is a plant, but what's the Manhunter's long game, since he must know?

Was this fill-in week at DC? Justice League and Superman both with guest artists. Aquaman and Batman Inc are both total-fill ins with guest writers and artists.

    WTF?
