They probably did tests on a large number of orphans (that no one would miss if things went awry, hence why they'd pick one), and Sarah just happened to meet all the prerequisites they had for a donor.

It's the fact that she had a kid of her own and none of the other North American clones had any idea she existed that's the big indicator. Crazy psycho chick also seems to think there's an original donor.

I thought Helena was Russian. The German was the one she shot in the car. Could be wrong, though.

You may be right. Either way, I think that she thinks she's the original and the others are abominations of god.

^Possibly, at least before she met Sarah, anyway. But the self-mutilation might suggest she sees herself as an abomination, too.

I hope they get back to that character soon. I'd like to see who that group really is and how they are connected, if at all, to the monitors. Are the monitors there to protect the clones from the group or just simply watch the clones and keep records?

    Works for me...

Meanwhile, I'm not going to get into the "Who's the original?" debate. That smacks of the same pointless argument as "Who's the last 'Final Five?'" For all we know there's a store house in Antarctica with a city population full of clones and the original is some seventy-seven year old dead organ donor.

Just watched the episode, and another good one. I hope it doesn't devolve into a "Who's my monitor" conspiracy but once again things get put on top of other developments and I still feel like each episode is offering minor payoffs and keeping things interesting. Loved the stuff at the Party, and Paul finally is becoming an interesting character. I really hope we're done with Vic for the rest of the season.

At the end when they were lying in bed scared of each other, was anyone else waiting for Donnie to ask if Allison can tie up to a chair again sometime next week too?

I'm sure there are some people who get off having hot glue dropped on their body.

I have really been enjoying this show.

I think Paul is out to save his own bacon and it only playing nice with Sarah to keep "his clone" alive.

I hope Vic stays away but it was a "oh dang" moment when Paul shot him with the nail gun.

Felix continues to be obnoxious and endearing at the same time.

Holy Crap this episode was amazing. I'm not sure what's in store for the next season, but this season has been so awesome that this might be the best show I'm watching on TV. Things got so much deeper tonight further developing last week's developments with the neo-evolution and now I can even see this as a Evolution vs. Religious theme, which is a lot better than what I had feared. The stuff with Helena was terrific, and I think she might be my favorite of the clones. Maslany has portrayed everyone so well, but man her role as Helana deserves her some Emmy love. Unfortunately she isn't going to get it, but it's such a joy to watch her act.

I just missed Allison. None of the others are as interesting to me.

In a meta way it was actually pretty funny. They wrote Allison out of the episode with the same type of line that would have been used on another show if the actor of that character hadn't been available.

That's true. All that really did was give Tatiana a couple of scenes off...

No? Isn't she the hardest working woman in showbusiness? This gave room for her other characters to spread their wings.

I'm in agreement with tomolak up there, Helena is my favorite clone, next to Sarah of course.

I loved this episode, furthered everything along while still leaving some mystery left. I did feel bad for Cosima kissing that woman and not getting the reaction she wanted. I can kind of relate to something like that as I remember on a date I went on once I attempted to go in for a kiss at the end of the night and the girl flipped out on me. It was a real blow to my ego, so I can only imagine what she's going through, especially that it was a lesbian kiss that wasn't reciprocated.

I like Alison, too, but I definitely want to see more of Helena, just to figure out what her story is. That is one seriously fucked one individual.

I wonder what Leakey is thinking about Cosima? Maybe he wants to join his company so he can study her more closely?

It's interesting how moods change week in and week out. I've been watching 2/3rds of BBC America's Supernatural Saturday (Anyone else watch Nerdist because I don't. Is it any good) and it's felt like ever since Orphan Black started, I've much prefered OB to Doctor Who. Well, this week was different in that it was the Doctor Who Season Finale and things had to be resolved. I wasn't sure when I would watch Orphan Black, if I should let the Doctor Who finale just sink in and watch OB a few days later.

Well, I decided to watch OB tonight, and I'm starting to wonder if maybe I should just move on from Doctor Who. While I enjoyed DW's finale, Orphan Black blew it out of the water in so many ways. The big way was just the tightness of the storytelling. Doctor Who's finale felt rushed and incomplete. Orphan Black is building on it's story and each and every week I feel like I'm being rewarded for watching.

Case in point this week's episode. Holy Crap that was fantastic. If last week widened the spectrum to the whole conspiracy plot, this week tightened it to focus back on the clones and how their lives have been turned upside down because of it. We have Sarah, trying to keep a sense of normalcy, Allison, who in my opinion was the star this week, Helena who still continues to be an outstanding character, and Cosima who I really wish they would make her into more than just a Science geek. It seems like out of all the clones, Cosima is the one being held back a tad. Anyway, this episode felt a lot more focused than last week, but still this season is rocking out.

As for the ending, holy shit. I did not see that coming, but man what a cliffhanger to next week. You think maybe they might end the show quietly, and then that happens. Not only that, but the scene (And I don't want to spoil it because it's too good not to be seen) leading up to the end just added a new layer to this canvas that is turning into the Best show on TV, or at least the best show I'm watching. I'm glad Doctor Who is done for now. That season was decent, Orphan Black is better.
