could a series 5 happen in another format?

surak-toc

Commander
Red Shirt
as the novels are brilliant, could they do series 5 in book form, theres plenty of stuff to go off as said on the wiki page they could do more on the borg, the first borg queen, more on T'Pol, romulan war and the origin of the federation, theres lots to go off, could a series 5 novel series work....

I think the closest we'd ever get to a Season 5 would be if a fan film project pops for it.

you never know, i think a fan film would be good, a few different novel series would be good too, since in june we have a new enterprise book so i think a few arcs for such events would be great....

Season 5 in the books pretty much is...

The Good That Men Do
Kobayashi Maru
The Romulan War: Beneath the Raptor's Wing
The Romulan War: To Brave the Storm

Season 6, so to speak, begins in just a few months with

Rise of the Federation: A Choice of Futures
Rise of the Federation: Tower of Babel

The novelverse told the origins of the Borg with the Destiny trilogy, which although set a few years after Nemesis, featured in part Captain Hernandez of NX-02 Columbia.

The first Romulan War book could be considered as a season, but the second takes place over six years.

Although TV/film Trek has kept mostly to a season = year, that doesn't have to be the case, especially in the case of novels, which are often much bigger in scope than a 42-minute episode. In fact, thanks to the finale, the final season of Enterprise spanned 6 or 200 years!

You can count me among those who don't think one season necessarily has to equal 12 months of adventures. There's something appealing about Enterprise as an "historical bio-pic type series" that could well have followed the crew across 7-10 seasons, from their being assigned to the NX-01 through the rest of their careers and well into old age for their last few adventures set in the 23rd Century.

Extreme old age in Archer's case, presumably.

That would be interesting, have the team possibly be split to do different things after their final mission, a great unfolding history, include the first Borg queen obviously though, up till archer becoming admiral
