Anybody else find the way Will Wheaton talks annoying?

If there's someone I consider to be annoying due to their voice or mannerisms (like a wealthy, opinionated former brother-in-law who considered himself the final authority on everything), I do my best to stay away from them.

If Wil bothers you that much, I'd say don't go to see him at conventions, book signings, and avoid his tv, film, and internet appearances. Spend all the money you want on his books though, he'll appreciate that.

Yes because that's the way they wanted him to be - condescending and degrading to his mother who had to put up with his 'bad attitude' relatively speaking but he was depressing
with a superiority complex. Let's see. Who else on this board is like that? Mmn.

I avoid him mostly, i am just curious.

Will Wheaton looks like Will Riker these days, especially with that beard. He is going to play Riker in the TNG reboot!

I think he's annoying now, looking back at the series. He's supposed to be this know-it-all genius kid, which is annoying to pretty much everyone except his mom.

Yeah, I should have asked that in my first response. Considering he spelled Wil's name wrong, maybe he meant Wesley.

While I have problems with the way his character was written, I've never had a problem with his speaking voice. It's really just normal/average.

Perhaps if Wesley were a French teenage, who spoke with a British accent, you'd like his voice better.

:)

My wife would.
