Superman (casting, rumors, pix till release)

Luthor was apparently in the earlier drafts yes...and we still could get a tease for both characters in the sequel. I suspect LexCorp will have a presence (perhaps similar to OsCorp in "The Amazing Spider-Man") although not as extensive.

I'd love to see Brainiac in the sequel, but I don't mind Zod in this one since he's hardly overused (that would be Mr. Lex Luthor).

I like the suite and the wardrobe for Lois. It does look a lot darker here than in any of the other images I've seen, so I think that is just the picture. I'm not 100% sure though.

Zod has a use because he has a connection to Krypton. The Superman animated series probably had a similar thought since their Brainiac was a Kryptonian supercomputer that was partially to blame for the planet's destruction. Personally, I always liked the background for Brainiac, but maybe in the future.

Geoff Johns during his Action Comics run also tied Brainiac with Krypton...as part an invasion as he collected and shrunk Kandor. General Zod commanded the Kryptonian forces that successfully repelled Brainiac (before his fall from grace and imprisonment to the Phantom Zone). It's very possible that they've used this for MOS as well.

No problem with Zod here. Luthor is so over used I wouldnt mind him not turning up until hopefully a third film. Maybe even a return to the old mad scientist Luthor with suit of armor.

Zod is an ideal candidate. It gives Supes a super-powered baddy to punch in the face which we've all been waiting to see in a new Superman movie.

Has there been ANY superhero suit that everyone has loved?

I do not remember anyone complaining about the 1978 Superman movie costume. Aside from that, yeah, almost every costume from production since the 80s suffered some criticism. Most deserved it.

I'd say:

1 Iron Man

2. Spiderman (2002)

3. Captain America TFA

4. The Dark Knight (first time Batman looked like he could actually move reasonably comfortably)

5. X-Men: First Class.

Maybe not back then, but people sure complain about it now.
