I actually liked this episode, I mean its not really one of my favorites but I thought it was relatively fun though it might be the most universally disliked episode in all of Trek. I've been on these boards for a few years and this is the only episode that i've yet to see any fans of. So any fans?

To clarify it's not that people usually call it the worst Trek episode ever but that I have never seen anything positive about it (I've seen some people that actually like TATV).

While I would have to agree with many that the episode took full advantage of this as an opportunity to show some hot women doing a sexy dance to bring in viewers, I thought the revelation at the end that turned TOS perception of the Orion women on its head was an interesting twist. I, too, enjoyed the episode.

Bound is crappy, but I don't hate it. I just resent it for wasting an opportunity. Writers really could have done something intriguing with the whole Vulcan mating bond thing. It's an interesting phenomenon that could have been explored with a more serious approach, but instead they went with unfunny comic relief. Pity.

I met five or six, and they all had one specific thing in common. They all disliked, or flat out hated Enterprise.

I liked Bound. I mean, it was okay. It was one of those whimsical Trek episodes with the undercurrent of danger, we've seen many times.

I did think the Orion girls' dance went on too long at the begining and also thought the actor playing the male "shill" for the girls wasn't too good. But other than that, a nice moment between Archer and T'pol when she informed him that the Orions were disrupting the crew while running around in their hoochie gear. Also liked Trip and T'Pol working together, the bond, and the little Han/Leia part at the end.

Not the best but far from the worst.

I like the episode, but then being Tucker fan it's not wholly surprising. The Orion girls were plain irritating (to me) but I enjoyed the effects they had on the rest of the ship's crew. If nothing else, it satisfactorily closed the part about Tucker leaving for Columbia.

"Bound" essentially feels like "Rajin" done right. Season 3's attempt to have an alien lady attempt to seduce crewmembers, with an ulterior motive tried too hard to be edgy and looked like a juvenile attempt at titillation to boost the ratings. At least "Bound" had that women control the men to redeem it slightly.

In the same way "Observer Effect" retreads "The Crossing", but does non-corporeal posession with intelligence... going for the experiments on a lower species angle. Instead of an excuse to have Reed behave like a horny teenager around T'Pol... cutting between one character acting possessed and then switching to another, became something more creepy.

I am tired of magic sex episodes.

Oh look at me, I am so magically sexy everyone is falling beneath my taut, taut thighs..

I'll have them eating out of..

Why are there never any magical sex men?

Because Kirk and James Bond already did that, plus it would probably be called sexist nowadays.

Okay I'll give you Kirk but Bond? pfft. And still, where are the magic sex episodes with MEN?! You know where the man is emitting pheromones or has space drugged everyone or has a super power and it's all about EVERY SINGLE FEMALE ripping her clothes off for him. Has this ever happened?

Kirk was old school stuff where he left a trail of swooning females behind him, there was never any magic sex going on.

I have no idea, I am not one for vampire stories.

I am asking about tv shows, if that old trope about the magic sex female is ever turned round.

I like Bound the same reasons Nxo1 fan did.I liked how the Trip&T'Pol storyline was dealt with in this episode when he returned from the Columbia.

It would have been nice if a couple of guys got the headache and a couple of girls fell under the Orion girls' spell. Or are we to believe there is not a single gay or bi crewperson on board the Enterprise?

Isn't there a line from Phlox in which he states the Orion pheromones work specifically on "rival" females physiology causing them to feel off colour - thereby taking them "out of the game" as it were. I don't think it's got anything to do with sexual preference.

I personally think Bound was a typical UPN inspired T&A Episode But the worst part is not the slaves girls, its the shoddy camera work. DOnt spin the camera so far you can see the crews step ladders and equipment.

Even a generally good season of Trek like ENT Season4 will still have a few filler episodes. As filler goes though, this one was a good way to waste an hour of time. My libido approves. :)
