PICTURE POST II!

Pummeling somebody with squeaky baby's toys is always a good way to straighten them out.

So, my sister knitted this for me. And it is fucking amazing and profoundly nerdy. Here I am modeling it, be awed the wonder that is The Wesley Sweater:

Oh my gods, that is the best knitted shirt ever! Made even better by the adorable model ;)

How much are she selling these for? I might actually have to buy one. And I'm not usually a fan of knitted stuff.

That sweater is awesome TSQ!

My wife prepared a little surprise for my daughter yesterday.

And my sister just posted this picture of my nephew getting ready for a hockey game. He's the goalie.

^Adorable! Slightly disconcertingly bloody-looking, but adorable! :)

Prices will vary a lot depending on size and how long it takes her to make them. Depending on the complexity of the pattern and the price of the materials used her custom sweaters normally go for $100-$300. Seriously, let me know if you're interested!

I could never never never be that close to Wesley. You do know he was a child, right?
So was I when TNG was on!

^
What's that painting in the lower left hand corner of the first and second photos? Is that a portrait of a person that you made yourself or a print of somebody else's work?

One of my wife's friends made a similar comment when this was posted on facebook.

She has another special bath planned for her birthday which is on St. Patrick's Day so the colour of the bath will be a little less disturbing then!

Wow! That's very impressive. You're very skilled with the human face and its features.

Is this in your personal collection or one you're considering selling? We have sidewalk arts and crafts festivals and city-sponsored art shows that would eat something like this up.

That's terrific! What's really great about it is that most people won't even know it's Star Trek Wesley Crusher inspired, as it has more of a 80's retro look about it. And then those that know TNG will definitely get it. :bolian:

Oh and I can only imagine how today's Will Wheaton would kill to have that kind of waistline. ;)

Thank you. I don't know about selling him. I'm very fond of him and he took rather a long time. However...things are tight. I have thought about selling on the street before. I very seriously considered it when I was unemployed, actually.

Yes! I love that about it!

That's one of my paintings:

Seriously terrific work there, TSQ. :bolian::techman::bolian: Is that watercolor, pastel, or something else?
Thanks. :) It's oil on canvass.

^After my sis gets her shop set up! If he likes them enough to retweet, she could get som business! I really want her to be successful with this. She's had a lot of struggles in her young life, and she's working hard to break free of them.

Well, sometthing else to do this next week:

My son has this set. It's my favourite out of his vast Lego collection. It's so detailed, especially on the inside. Have fun with it!

On the topic of New York City, I'll be there for a few days with my daughter this August. Not ideal timing, but we have to fit in the trip around the school year, of course. It's her 16th birthday gift, and a great excuse for me to finally visits NYC as well.
