Naw, she's over over 150 in age, and she got the ship in her youth, it was a derelict. And the planet Cassy was raised on was in the Romulan Neutral Zone, and I could easily see old style birds of prey still around in the late 23rd century.
Cassy and Spazma sneaking on board a Romulan ship. A close up of Cassy's gun, of her own making, called the Stingbeam. It has an 8 shot capacity, and can fire off single shots, or bet set to take the energy of all 8 shots in one massive burst. It's her choice weapon, when she's not with Starfleet, she carries the gun mainly since she feels that most people who carry bigger weapons tend to think with them first, and not their brains. It's mainly a last resort when all other alternatives don't work. And it's a sorta brute force weapon, devastating especially at close range, and particularly effective against Cybermen.
Want to make the Cybermen scary again. Plus to make space a bit dangerous. Though Vanda, the petite Andorian, is much scarier when she's mad.
Perhaps I missed it. I'm just wondering what's the back story on how there's Daleks and Cybermen there.
Well, beyond the Great Barrier it's a jungle out there. The Cybermen are mainly trying to keep from becoming extinct, and when they see Starfleet fleet vessels, manned with crews of a few hundred to a thousand, they are going, "Fresh Meat!" The Daleks, there are 2 main factions. The conventional ones bent on galactic domination, and then there's a small, breakaway group that are the opposite, humane good Daleks. In my own stories, it was a group of of these good Daleks that designed the Constitution class vessel in the 23rd century. Dalek technology made some of the advances in Starfleet during those days. Zeg's one of the most decorated officers in Starfleet, and Cassy is not officially a Starfleet officer, she's more of an adviser to Starfleet, like the Doctor was to UNIT, hence why she's not in an official uniform.
