Probably the most asked Trek question

The reused Romulan uniforms in ENT never bothered me in the slightest. A Romulan's a Romulan, right? Trek's been recycling stuff for 45 years now! Klingons, Romulans, Ferengi, the ships and gizmos... they all look pretty much the same throughout Trek's 250 years of pretend history.

My guess is Neelix once made a delicious stew but never told anyone what was in it.
:guffaw:

I should apologise that the Rom uniforms question was more axiomatic. It just offends my sensibilities. ;)

I was once asked why did Avery Brooks shave his head. There's a DS9 question.

I answered, he was trying to copy Picard.

I thought it was 'What happened with Gates on TNG after season one?'

I guess that's second to Kes.

From everything I read he was trying to make Sisko more intimidating, so he copied the look of a character he played earlier in his career.

I heard Avery Brooks as an actor hated the look he had in the early seasons. He much preferred to be bald and with a goatee, but TPTB didn't want two bald captains on at the same time. Brooks was finally allowed to shave his head when TNG ended.

Frakes had his "growing the beard" moment between seasons. Gene Roddenberry liked the look so much that the beard was kept.

Oh well these are people in the street type questions I've been asked. I think the Borg Baby question isn't something that occurs to people who would never ask it on a message board.

And damn we haven't been asked that in a long time over in VOY land.. but Lien getting fired is always with us.

I literally just watched Collective two minutes ago and it didn't occur to me to ask that question.

Um. They found the baby's homeworld between episodes! Yeah, that's it.

My biggest question: If Earth is a unified planet, why is 80% of the population white?

But that is the perfect answer to everything!

"between episodes"

It's the duct tape of continuity.

The Eugenics wars were much nastier than they have led us to believe.

Specifically Hawk, in "Spenser for Hire." A brutal thug with a heart, Hawk was, at the same time a simpler character and a much more interesting character (IMHO), than Sisco.

How do they tell time? Seriously, I've never seen anybody on a landing party wear a watch, but they always manage to know what time it is.

"Meet back here at 1700 hours."

"We have only six hours before this planet explodes!"

Etc.

maybe it's on their PADDs or tricorders the way it's on our cell phones?

But not everybody on the landing party carries a tricorder. (Often it's just Spock.) And they didn't even have PADDs on TOS . . . just electronic clipboards that they usually left back on the ship.

It's a puzzlement.

Perhaps they all have a good sense of time, plenty of people don't wear watches, might not look at their mobile phone and still arrive when they are supposed to meet.

Granted, I can see Spock always knowing what time it is, but McCoy . . . ? :)
