Well Pike was on screen without Number One and no Talosians in sight...so I'm pretty sure Marcus can be seen sans Khan.

If it wasn't Khan, why would they deny it now? And John Harrison? What kind of fake name is that, nobody names their child that, let alone the villain. This is all more proof it is Khan. No way could Carol Marcus be part of a story without Khan.

Not true. Look, Bad Robot confirmed it tonight. Cumberbatch is Harrison. They are not going to market his character for this movie with a fake name.

It's been done before Liam Neeson was called Henri Ducard in the marketing for Batman Begins and for most of the fim until the end where they revealed he was Ra's al Ghul. If fact Christopher Nolan played that trick twice over the course of three Batman movies.

One of the reasons fans are scratching their heads is because producer/co-writer Roberto Orci had previously stated that Cumberbatch was playing a character from Star Trek’s canon. Clearly ‘John Harrison’ is not from Trek’s canon. Tune in tomorrow to find out what both Alex Kurtzman and Roberto Orci had to say about this discrepancy.

I can't wait to see how they wiggle out of that "canon character" statement from July 2012.

To be fair, Orci commented in that article that day on TM.com, verbatim, "Correction, I lied about one of those."

I hope if they do, they do something different with Khan this time.

What made that story tragic is knowing it could've gone a different way... Khan with a world to tame, without its neighbor blowing up?

I hope like hell they don't do this. What's the point of rebooting the universe if you're just going to tell the same stories again? And why retell one of the best told stories of the original series?

The Klingon makeup designs were on display and they were very much in line with post Star Trek: The Motion Picture ridged forehead Klingon look with some minor differences. Probably the biggest new feature was how these Klingons adorned their ridges with ring piercings.

I like this. I hope it proves to be true.
