Yeah, I guess it technically still is since the ripples of Nero's changes didn't travel backwards to 1893....so it looks like at least one officer from the 1701-D crew still exists in the altered timeline, even if it's just his head. :p

I want all three heads in the next film. In jars. As a Futurama homage.

History's been changed. Dr. Soong now creates beer drinking, cigar smoking bending robots who love to shoplift.

I'm not totally sure Cumberpatch is playing Mitchell, ect....for one, if he was as powerful as them why is he lugging around what looks like a BFG?.....and kung fu-ing his way through Klingons?.

Garth might be too obscure a villan.

I know they might be 21st centurying the action to make it more grounded and not have god like entities, but I still feel we are missing somethng.

Yes, but the crucial question is: will the nacelles still work when wet?

That's the whole POINT. The BFG is symbolic of his moxie. And other stuff.

In the next film the nacelles will be submersed in jelly.

    BFGs are cool.
I'd summon some out of thin air if I had godlike powers.

Hopefully The Klingons will never take off the helmets. Imagine the questions.

I think Carol Marcus and Garth are in it. :techman::drool:

I think the the ship sinking is a ship constructed between 2151 and 2161. Does anyone have pics of those ships from Star Trek Legacy?

I'm sure there's a joke in there involving Scotty and wet nacelles.

True, he doesn't need one. But when you're the villain, why the hell not?

I don't know, but I hear that starting the warp engines under water is pretty dangerous. Explosion doesn't even begin to describe it. Maybe that's why the android who Cumberbatch is playing put the Enterprise underwater?

    Insert "bagpipe" joke here.

Green so we can have hundred page threads speculating about the Borg.
