It's almost impossible to know the context of the shot, but it looks like whoever is on the nearside of the glass is doing worse than the one the blue uniform.
That would explain his strength if he's half-Vulcan. I'm not sure what he would be taking vengeance over though...and I doubt TPTB want any connection to *that* movie.
I think it'd be Garth before it'd be Khan. Garth's encounter with the Antosians from whom he learned cellular metamorphosis and gained great strength could easily have happened in both timelines and in both he could have gone from a great Starfleet hero at Axanar to an outcast and criminal.
I still lean towards Mitchell, though...especially if that's Dehner in the trailer. That haircut says so much to a Trekker.

It's possible Eve plays Carol Marcus, but with a twist. Instead of Dr. Dehner teaming up with Mitchell, it's Carol Marcus that does making it very personal for Kirk.Wow, this looks awesome.
I'm definitely leaning towards the Dehner-Mitchell-theory... Because I think that Cumberbatch's character needs to have some connection with Kirk to make a confrontation meaningful. Of course, they could have changed things around that Kirk and Mitchell both fell in love with Carol Marcus and Mitchell now returns to take his revenge on Kirk for "losing". The Dehner character was very weak in WNMHGB, after all, so I wouldn't mind a change here. *g*

I always thought that the "little blonde lab technician" Kirk and Mitchell knew in the 2250s in the Prime timeline was supposed to be Carol Marcus. They all probably shared a bit of history together in the original Trek universe so I wouldn't be surprised in the least if all three were connected in the altered history as well.
I'm excited to see the Klingons that Cumberbatch is fighting at :20.
How can you tell they are Klingons.
