Season TWO OFFICIAL TNG Blu-Ray Discussion Thread

One of the bonus features is a featurette on the production and restoration of season 2 for Blu-ray.

Aren't two gag reels overkill?

To be fair, CBS digital ran into the same problem on the shot of the cryo-probe in "The Neutral Zone." (Although it was less apparent since it was at the bottom of the screen and against a space background, and not a planet).
Really, I'll have to review that. I can definitely give them a pass however, bearing in mind the overall excellence of their S1 work.

I give it a pass because the shot isn't a blurry mess like the one above. I don't understand how you can have the lighting elements that go all the way to the edge of the screen but not the model elements. This seems like a shot they should've cropped a bit if they only had part of the elements needed to complete it.

OK, thanks. I guess it was just the screening then. Phew.

Edit: Oh wait, check out the lights. They're misaligned too!

No glitch? Are you kidding? The light pass of the windows is again wrongly aligned:

After TrekCore posts screenshots for every episode, finding effects shots with errors will be shooting fish in a barrel.

How do people keep getting these things early? I went to every major retailer in my area yesterday and they all acted like I was asking them to murder their first born when I asked about picking the season up?

I'm really worried the VFX is going to be painful for me to watch. At this point, I'm really only buying it for the special features, and the fact that I've never owned Season 2.
