I'm as giddy as a school girl right now :D Even after reading you guys talk about it just now I looked it up but couldn't find anything on it.

If it takes place between Kick-Ass 2 and 3, my dream is that it involves:

    The trial of Hit-Girl

If you're going to recommend he read Kick-Ass 2, he might as well start with Kick-Ass. Kick-Ass is so much more tame than the comic it's based on Kick-Ass 2 may make his eyes bleed if he goes into it blind ;)

I think Millar mentioned it on the Millarworld forum at some point. I tried to find the reference but I couldn't. I didn't just pull it out o' me arse though. ;)

I think I saw it in the Miller World forum as well. It also might have been in a previous interview back in the summer. I think the theoretical order would be something like this: "Kick-Ass" (Book One), "Hit-Girl" (Book Two), "Kick-Ass 2"(Book Three), "Kick-Ass 3" (Book Four), and the grand finale "Hit-Girl Returns"(Book Five).

I think Hit-Girl Returns is book four and Kick-Ass 3 is book five.

I kept thinking "Didn't Hitgirl die" while reading this thread but then I realized I've been mixing up Kick Ass with some other wannabe superhero film that was released in the same year.

I hate Cosmic Movie News. Chloe wasn't "attached" to Star Wars Episode VII...the report was that she was part of Vaughn's pitch. Anyway...great pics. Millar did tweet a little while ago that we could see the first teaser trailer first week of Feb or something like that.

Yeah, I know what you mean about CBN. I only link to them when it's pics or an actual quote that I can't find elsewhere. They pass off their speculation as "news" far too often. They also tend to feel "entitled" there, as if Marvel owes them a certain take on cosmic stories.

I'll echo what I've been saying on Facebook for a while now, but I believe Millar has timed the release of the final issue of Hit-Girl (Feb. 6th) to coincide with the release of the teaser.

    At least that's my theory.

There were rumors for a while that we'd have a trailer by last week. Millar even said he's seen a trailer, but you can never tell from him.

Elysium comes out one week earlier, and no trailer for that yet either. Nor for The Wolverine, which comes out in July. I don't think it's that strange for late summer movies to not have trailers yet. We have a big slate of other summer movies coming out first, which kind of crowd things out with their own marketing.

In any case, Kick-Ass 2 was filming re-shoots as recently as last week. That might have something to do with the delay.

I had originally predicted that it would have been scheduled for August so this doesn't bother me in the least. I had suspected there might be re-shoots but wasn't entirely sure on that. It would also explain why we haven't had a teaser trailer yet, as Aldo stated there have been rumours and Millar himself stated we would get one soon, that's probably changed now.

The Red Band trailer has hit the net here.
I have certain reservations about it, just because I'm a huge fan of the book and am going to be anal retentive about it.

That said...taken as just a trailer, I think it's a pretty good teaser, and makes the movie look interesting. If anything, it will be a good follow up to the first movie.

Looks awesome! Jim Carrey looks like he might steal the show.

It looks like a great adaption and I look forward to seeing it, buuut I still feel like I wish it'd been made sooner as Chloe Grace Moretz looks a tad too old now. Ha not that 15 is "old", but the whole point of Hit-Girl was that it was this little kid, not a pretty much developed teenager.
Same for Kick-Ass, I suppose its fair enough to say he's been training and working out. But again he was meant to be some scrawny kid you can relate to, not a beefed up super hunk.
