Kick-Ass 2 -Movie Discussion, News, Interviews, Pics. ect.

I'm sure he will retain some of the themes, but keep in mind some of the film's music was from Murphy's "Sunshine" score as well. This film is also a lot different than the first was in terms of tone as you know. So there will be a bunch of new stuff too. I'm disappointed Jackman, Murphy, and DeVries aren't returning but understand Wadlow would want to collaborate with his composer.

I'm pretty excited to hear some new themes actually. While yes, ideally I'd like the film to have a thematic continuity to it, I'm down for new music as well.

Also, here's the trailer in better quality for those of you interested:

I must say, what a difference some better quality makes.

I'm coming into this having only seen the first movie, so I can't judge it as an adaptation, but as a movie it looks great to me. Definitely agree that Jim Carey looks like he'll be the scene stealer.

I'm not impressed with what I've seen, from the trailer. Don't care for Jim Carrey's voice, and there seems to be something missing. The original movie had a manic energy to it, but perhaps it's just-for me-the surprise will be gone. And the movie is going to lack without Nicholas Cage's Adam West, which I thought was awesome. Hit-Girl seemed far more interesting than Hit-Teen or Hit-Woman. And while I get that Kick-Ass would likely get bigger and better as a hero in a sequel, he really bulked up. It sort of takes away the ordinary guy donning a suit to fight crime thing (though granted that was tweaked already in the first movie, compared to the comics). I'll still go see it, but my expectations are lowered.

Kick Ass still had his sorta Jew-Fro so it's not like he completely turned into a bulked up stud. Nothing you can do about Hit Girl, people age and recasting the part would have been lame. And I think Carrey will bring us the levels of delight that Cage did.

The more I see of this the better it looks. I wonder if we will get any other character based trailers like this one!

New trailers but not very much new footage in them. Universal has also released a couple of behind the scenes stuff as well.

Not really any new footage (at least that I noticed), but the whole movie seems more polished. Anyone who says it doesn't have the same look as the first one should look again, because I really don't see any difference.
