Children in Need 2012: Christmas Special prequel + trailer

Matt and Jenna are great, but that is the problem, Matt is more interesting than his Doctor.

As for the mini episode, there is nothing I hate more than when a previous heroic character goes "dark" and spends a few episodes (or season) not saving people, they may claim its for a bigger reason, but its boring.

I knew those little bastards couldn't be trusted!

Jenna Louis-Coleman might be the most attractive companion I've seen since I started watching. I can't wait to see her in the role starting this Christmas. I already love her personality and perkiness out of character. She might become my favorite companion yet.

Does something look different about Vastra? Or is it just the hood making her seem to look different?

I noticed that too. The light is shining at an angle that brightens her face. The bright light diminishes all the detailing

Also noticed they didn't do makeup on her lower lip
Ah...yes, that's it, thanks. The lack of lip color, gives an optical illusion of her lower face looking kinda "sucked in", like she ate a lemon
Aye. I suppose we can just say she started to wear lipstick at some point. I imagine it is because she has a lot more to say this time around and constantly touching up her lips between nearly every take for a week or more of filming would have just been annoying. (I know, I've done it before)

Rubbish title.

Trailer looked great - until the eponymous snowmen appeared and undid all that good work...

Have you been watching the show since the reboot? I'd be disappointed if snowmen didn't appear at some point.

Eh, the CGI looks about part for the course. Doctor Who has never wowed me with its cgi. In that video, it's so brief that it's hard to get a good look.

Frankly, I find the shortcomings of the Snowmen to be part of their charm. C'mon, we're dealing with an alien flying around the cosmos in a police box that's bigger on the inside, and you're complaining about snowmen?! It's all part of the fun of Doctor Who.

Yes, yes I am.

The snowmen are crap.

Then again with most of nuwho overly using cgi for their monsters it's what I've come to expect. Or accept.

Or perhaps Jenny prefers a smoother touch and Vastra obliged. ;)

But yes, I noticed the difference right away. Also, the tint of green seems a little lighter, though perhaps that's the lighting in that particular shot.

I loved the bit where Matt says it's her first ep, she corrects him, she couldn't possibly be the same character... could she ;)
