The Walking Dead Season 3

^^ Interesting....

There had also been the passage of a week between the two episodes, based on a Rick comment when he first stops the car at an intersection early in that second episode.
Thanks. Those are the details I seldom remember. :rommie:

The episode may have even had a bit of subtelty which for WD surprises me: Standing guard on the walls is repeatedly identified as men's work, including by a woman; every courtesy is extended to two women captured in the wild while the male guardsman are all murdered. Possibly they want to keep women in various nuturing roles (the one job we got defined here for a woman was the doctor) and in particular sources of fresh babies and child-rearing.
Oh, I definitely think the governor is on "Woodbury needs women" thing. His whole "take back the planet" speech signals a plan that requires a large amount of breeding stock.

Well...
T-Dog's been bit and then sacrificed himself to save Carol. So much for their pact, though I guess there wasn't much she could do...

OMG! OMG! OMG!

I cannot believe that they did that!

Damn seriously, as someone who has read the comics I can say conclusively that I have no idea where they are going...

As someone who has read the comics I'm not sure beyond one major plot point where they're going. :p

I'm... not quite sure how I feel about this last episode to be honest, the resolution in particular. Daring or just cheap and ugly?

Not especially pleased with Andrea getting suckered in by the Governor either considering she was finally turning into somebody worth rooting for.

I really thought Lori would have sacrificed herself and it turned out to be a zombie baby as an even bigger hammer blow to the head.

We never saw him fire...I wonder if that was to make it more dramatic or because he never shot Lori...

Why wouldn't he shoot Lori? She was dying, definitely going to reanimate...what would keep him from shooting her? And why would he fake it?

Yeah, much is not playing out as on the printed page. Then again, film and tv adaptations are notorious for changing plotlines.

One could be called cheap...shock value.....

In my view, Andrea remains a turn-off. Not long after arriving at the Gov's compound, she's flirting with him (knowing nothing about him, and barely recovering from illness), and let's remember, she screwed....Shane....ugh.

The new guy better watch out if they meet a new big black guy.

I hope that didn't actually play a part in T-Dog's departure as the actor seems a nice guy. Unfortunately, it seems the character was underdeveloped compared to the others. I'm not sure he was even present for much of the time on Herschel's farm.

Wow, just wow. T dog went out like a hero, and I even felt for Lori, she really redeemed herself in that death scene, only 4 episodes in! Can't wait to ser what craziness is coming up! And what happened to carol, and was that Andrew watching her outside the prison or someone else?

That was actually a pretty good episode with a very powerful ending. I'm a bit sad that we aren't going to see the major death at the end occur in the same way that it happened in the comics though. That was quite possibly the game changing moment of the comics. That being said, this was pretty much an equal scene for the TV show. So I can't be too upset.

Holy CRAP, that was a sad episode. Poor T-Dog; the dude never got a good storyline. What exactly *did* happen to Carol? How are they going to feed the baby? ARGH. A GREAT, heart-breaking episode. I can't wait to see next week's!
