Disney's "Wreck-It Ralph" trailer

The weird thing is this feels like the kind of movie Pixar would make while Pixar newest/upcoming offerings don't seem as interesting.

I'm kind of surprised Disney does there own CGI movie while they still release Pixar's. Wouldn't that mean their competing with themselves?

New official trailer out, and it looks good. :D I'm really looking forward to this.

The more I see of this, the better it looks. That's pretty rare these days.

I agree. I hope the movie will live up to the trailers, but being able to do a good trailer takes a bit of skill by itself. I think both of the official trailers so far are perfect hooks, and having actual classic game characters is icing on the cake. Only a month or so more to wait... :p

As long as the movies aren't coming out at the same time, it's not really a competition. There's more than enough room for more than 1 or 2 successful animated movies per year, and all the money goes to Disney in both cases, anyway.

Also, it seems to have worked out pretty well so far. (this is Disney Animation's 6th CG feature, after all)

I have to admit, I'm really looking forward to this!

...and I have Funkytown stuck in my head. Again. :shifty:

Rotten Tomatoes also has it at 83% right now, which is another good sign. A few negative reviews already posted, but that can't be helped. Can't please everyone. ;)

Well, I was going to go see it, but it sold out. That's the first time I've ever had that happen to me. I guess I'm just going to sit in the nearyby coffee shop for a while until the next showing. At least that's a good sign for the box office.

My local theater had three showings (one in 3D), and none of them sold out. :D Actually I think I got sort of lucky, as my showing was at 6 pm and that's apparently when they tend to get slammed on Friday evenings. It was a great movie, and I have to slightly disagree with IGN's comment that the movie spent too much time in Sugar Rush. That gave the film a specific setting in which to play Ralph's misadventures, and to fill in his relationship with Vanellope. I think the movie was quite well paced actually.

Really looking forward to this. I don't drive so I have to wait until my mom and I are both next week to go see it.

Cool! Maybe I can convince Hubby to go see it this weekend.

Saw it and really enjoyed it. There are a lot gaming jokes that old-timers like me will get but the kids sure won't. It's very sweet and a lot of fun.

And the little short before the film was awesome.

Yes! Saw it tonight and liked it. Both the short and the movie were very cute. I want to play that sugar game now!
