Can you raise only one eyebrow?

Fast Lateral Oscillation of Eyeballs. I can do this. Very good for freaking people out....subtly.

Similarly, can roll eyeballs back zombie-style. V good for freaking people out. Used to do as child and hysteria it provoked was priceless.

I can't raise only one eyebrow, I can't roll my tongue, I can't roll my R. I feel genetically impaired...again.

I can roll my tongue, I just can't "crinkle" it like some people seem to be able to do. The most impressive crinkling of the tongue I think I've ever seen is when a girl druggie in the very first Cheech and Chong film (Up in Smoke) pops and crinkles her tongue in a pretty disturbing way that still creeps me out a little after all these years.

And that was a low-budget comedy from 1978 so there were no effects involved.

I can arch either eyebrow.

I like to arch both at the same time and say "Fascinating" in a logical voice.

I can only raise both eyebrows simultaneously. Not one individually.

Although I can send bricks to sleep via hypnosis.

I can raise my right eyebrow really easily, but it takes a lot of effort to do my left on its own, and I can't get it as far. I'm also doublejointed. People sometimes get creeped out with what I can do with my thumbs.

Rolling the Rs, however, is something I can never do. :(
I'm Italian. I can't not do it.

Frau Blucher did not say this. She is Scottish and is therefore genetically programmed to roll every 'r' in sight.

However I thought ZR, who was the true author, was Scottish too.
Sorry about the mix-up. Dunno how it happened. I corrected it.

What you guys can do with your Rs is funny, weird, and unexplainable by science.

The people who creep me out the most are the ones who can partially pop their eyeballs out of their sockets and then draw them back in again. Rolling eyes all the way back or moving one independently of the other are fun to watch and pretty impressive but those men and women who go on national television shows or make YouTube videos about popping their eyes out of their orbits...(*heebie jeebie shudder*)

I work with a lot of people. I'm constantly arching an eyebrow.

One little strange trick that freaks some people out is when I make a tight fist with my right hand, it always makes a very audible popping noise like a bone is breaking.

Yup I was going to say nystagmus.

The actor who plays the drunk priest in Constantine has it. So does the flautist James Galway.

I have a friend whose eyes do this on their own. His eyes are in fact never not doing this. Kinda weird.
If involuntary, that sounds more like nystagmus.

Maybe...? I dunno, it never really occurred to me to ask him why his eyes do that. It's very subtle, and you don't even notice it unless you're looking at him directly in the eye, but the motion of his eyes is constant.
