Basic things like the Doctor in it and not Jar Jar Binks, and the companions not being boring post-modern deconstructionalist "och aye I'm so sassy" Buffy characters, perhaps maybe acting toward supposedly dangerous, unusual and scary situations as though they actually were those things. A good story that makes sense and doesn't hope to just get by on explosions, CGI and jokes for idiots - it doesn't have to be Kinda or Vengeance on Varos every week but some credibility and interesting ideas done well would be nice. There's nothing wrong with trying to be amusing, so long as it actually works and isn't a series of stupid one-liners. A show not made to impress idiots and that makes an effort not to include glaringly stupid things.

It's just as likely that Solomon bought or stole the database from someone else, and it's of Dalek origin... afterall, aside from the Time Lord's, they are the most widely travelled race out there... so their database, especially after the Time War, would be stupidly valuable to anyone...

And since The Doctor was erased from the Dalek databases, then Solomon's scanner didn't recognise him...

    works for me anyway lol

I suppose, but why not identify the species if not the individual ID? There's the timelock, of course. With the Doctor 'dead' or 'vanished' and timelords never exixting, so to speak, there is nothing for it to guess at. But wouldn't that kind of uniqueness be valuable in itself?

So you think it should be made for clever people like you and not idiots like me who enjoy it?

I think this might the least subtle troll you've made so far.

And why do you keep mentioning Murderer Who? Are you not aware that the Doctor has killed many beings over the full run of the show?

Solomon may have had a human face but he seems to have killed more sentient beings than any average Cyberman or Dalek would during it's life. He is worse than eithe Dalek or Cyberman as they are programmed to be the way they are he presumably has free choice. He went out of his way to be cruel and ruthless and the Doctor stopped him. Same way he stops all the other monsters.

That's a bit of a leading question now, isn't it.
Well you would think that, being one of the legions much more keen to talk about me than address what I say about the show.
Killed, yes. Murdered, not as many.
By leaving them somewhere to get killed when he could have saved them? I must have missed every episode ever then, because I don't recall that being the resolution too often.

I lost a dollar tonight because I bet that someone would say "Doctor Who?" at some point during the story. It seems like it would be the recurring theme based on the prior two stories, but they didn't revisit it this time.

Part of me is glad, but another part is sad … because I lost a dollar. :D

That's a rather perverse definition of "murder" you have there. Murder means his death was unjust and unjustified. Where is the supporting argument?

I am quite surprised by this, I didn't have the Legion here down as death penalty supporters.

    So, we are idiots, yes?
Hmm, putting aside that bad guys have got it in the neck from nu who ep 1, the first one that jumps to mind is 'Seeds of Doom', didn't seem to mind Scoreby or the main villain getting chopped.

Dude, do all of us, including yourself, a favour, and stop watching. Just stop.

Worth noting that this morning Moffat actually deleted his Twitter account...

    https://twitter.com/steven_moffat

There's no word on why, but it's pretty well known that he's been receiving a lot of hate mail lately for some reason, so that's my guess as to why...

kinda sad as his was actually one of the more interesting Twitter feeds around... why can't the trolls and morons just grow the f**k up for once

Did I say that? And is this the royal we? Are you grouping everyone together to try create an Us vs You type of thing? Is there no diversity of opinion in your world?
Are you being wilfully ignorant of the way villains often die and how it happened in this instance? That the Doctor actively could have saved someone easily but had him die instead.
Why don't you stop talking about me and what I do and talk about the show?

Didn't enjoy this episode. Found it a bit uninteresting and they tried to make it seem more exciting than it actually was.

Need to watch it again, since I was interrupted while watching (Must remember to start locking the door and turn off the phone), what I enjoyed what I saw. I was pleasantly surprised this one was well received, I was expecting this one would be pretty well panned by the adults, due to Chibnall being the writer, and the very set up of Dinosaurs on a Spaceship.

When I saw the episode description mentioned someone was behind it all, I half expected Oswin/Clara was somehow connected. Then, when they showed Solomon laying down, and his shadow on the curtain, the shadow appeared to have a Davros headpiece on, so, I was wondering if this Series was going to be one Giant Dalek arc, but, fortunately, it wasn't Davros afterall.

Really cool to see The Doctor picking up Nefertiti for a joyride, and poor Silurians, they just can't catch a break, no wonder they're so foul tempered, but, at least this time, The Doctor was responsible for leading them to their doom, it was him, who dispensed justice for them.

So, this show is a mindless cartoon now? I mean, it has been devolving into that for some time, but while watching this I kept thinking I was watching one of those Disney or Pixar movies. Just lights and colors and meaningless fun.
